I want to hear that Jerby!
I hope you get to! And that if you get to, I am capable of stepping into Bono's glasses!

OH MY GOD! I almost just had a freakin' heart attack. Okay, so, last summer, The Rolling Stones came to the Maritimes. It was a HUGE deal, the city in New Brunswick made craploads of money. It was the biggest concert in the Maritimes since... I don't know. It was BIG. This summer, there's supposed to be another huge concert in the same place. No names have been announced yet. They were just talking about it on the news. They mentioned the Stones, mentioned the venue, and cut to a clip of... U2. I RAN for the TV, but they were just clearing up rumours. No U2 in the Maritimes.
You were about to score yourself a Tiff visit..

Maybe you'd follow her here?
you just NEVER know..
I don't think they're in the maritimes for a while, at least - they've just postponed their tour because of a sudden illness in the family, but seriously, if they're back in Canada, and I'm out east for school, I AM PAYING YOU A VISIT!!
Also, Bono's a tenor, and his songs have a substantial vocal range from low and growly to high (and even a bit falsetto in "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own"), and female singers (like Mary J. Blige) have covered their songs before (like "One"), so the gender excuse isn't gonna hold.
But at least jrb gets his Broadway fix, and I can assure you that the last few rounds will definitely accomodate Broadway songs.
(And jrb with "Where The Streets Have No Name" sounds good with me! And Kerrie, you know what song you're doing.
)
Yes, Tiff brought it back! The av!
But when people cover, they transpose--but I am guessing as Mary sang WITH Bono, the key for that one (pun intended) should be groovy.
And, if the gals have no problem, then I guess I should just shut my mouth!
I was told the bubblebathed Danny Radcliffe was freaking too many people out. But Gollum Flynn-Boyle was okay.
*nods at jrb*
And if they're at a disadvantage, it's an advantage for YOU!
At the very least, I can sing on-key along with the songs, so I don't think these far more talented gals than I will have any problems.
Well, Gollum is hot. HOT.
Pink is really a flattering color on gray.
And that stare makes me swoon.
My precious!
The hardest thing is going to be finding karaoke tracks to Sondheim songs.
yep--gonna have to use an accompanist or go a capella in most cases.
You have some of the music for Sondheim, right, jrb?
Is anyone able to find Goo Goo Dolls or Good Charlotte accompaniment? I wasn't able to pull up anything on LimeWire, and it's one of Shib's biggest concerns.
I have sheet music for Sondheim. But no karoake.
I don't have karaoke or sheet music for Sondheim
Acapella Sondheim! Yeah!
There are some Sondheim karaoke tracks on I-tunes...Johanna is on there....
Look up Broadway karaoke.
ETA Send in the Clowns, Anyone Can Whistle, Losing my Mind
I REALLY shouldn't help my contestants out, but "Losing My Mind" is bound to get a gal MASSIVE votes! Such a great song.
Judges, I finished doing my Oasis song ("Don't Look Back in Anger") and I am sending it to you in just a second. Recording the Buble song tonight. How is everyone else going?
