It's tough to find a song that someone can do justice to with amateur equipment and a karaoke track.

I could see "Stuck In A Moment" being a good karaoke-ed song.

I had the misfortune of hearing someone do the karaoke to "Mysterious Ways" on my cruise in December...I will never hear that song the same way again.

Well, I got their greatest hits cd 1980-1990 from the library today so I am going to give a listen to it tomorrow or Monday and make a choice from that.

Okay, well from their 80-90 CD, if it includes the B-sides, listen to his "Unchained Melody". It's my favorite cover of that song. If you can do Bono doing "Unchained Melody", I'll fix the damn contest so you win it.

If I had Bono, a piano and an electric guitar, all to myself for 20 minutes, that may be the song I get him to sing. (That, or "Bad". Or...or...)

Okay, so out of the '80s songs, "Pride", "With Or Without You" and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" are all good options.

I agree...I think those three are probably your best bets. Though, I do LOVE All I Want Is You (sidenote: SO excited to have been at the ONLY US concert this tour that they played it at!!!)

I like "I Will Follow" but more so as a live performance. (Some day I'll be in the front row of the stage, and Bono will gyrate his hips in my face like he did on SNL to that girl. Yes he will. Oh yes...he will.)

And IWF does kick some serious ass live. I'll refrain from rubbing it in your face that I happened to be in the second row enjoying B's (getting kind of geri) hips goign at full swing! YEOW!!!

Yeah, I think it was the show with that arm guy (and the drunked teacher chicks).

Poor Bono is kind of geri, isn't he? I wish he'd just embrace his age and go gray a la Adam...no, I really don't, but I wish he'd at least spend some his obscene wealth on getting a good dye job. His roots on the Chicago DVD are ridiculous!

I love it! (answering spidey's question). The video for that song is great, too. (But I have to warn you that I think it's Pat's least favorite U2 song and he really hates it, so you may not get his vote).

Found the music video. I enjoy it (other than the freaky bobble-head type versions of the band...they're beyond frightening!)

Bono wrote the song for his wife, after forgetting her birthday. He "gave" her the song (including all of the money it made as a single, which she donated to various charities).

Pretty sure she was given the rights and then donated all the money to Chernobyl charities.

ETA: I was just perusing some of the other videos on that link. I dare any of you BWW Idol-ers to do Lemon! I think you'd have to get honorary bonus points for having the balls to tackle that beast!
