Tiff--My freestyle is "Johnny B. Goode" by Chuck Berry for all those folks that wanted a 50's theme.

Oh, good. It was a double post. I thought Spidey had to bump this twice!
Yup, it was a double post. How are you doing today, Ma-Dear?

Oh, I'm ok. I suppose. Kinda down. It's the last day of Spring Break.
How are you, dearest?
I thought he had to bump it twice too..and was like What???
Double post makes more sense though!
<-- Brushed up (and lingered a bit too long to make it seem "accidental") against his ass today and he winked at me and formally introduced himself.

Luuuucky.
Morning bump. How are you all today, m'loves?
I only just now realized that the date was moved back. THANK GOD!!! I have had ZERO time to record! Now I guess I just have to figure out a way to pull 3 different songs out of my ass during my 1 hour lunch break tomorrow.
Stupid little brothers and their stupid spring breaks!
I finished "Johnny B. Goode" and sent it to the judges already. I still have to do the other two though. That Sondheim song is going to kick my chunky butt all over the place. Does anyone have karaoke to "Something's Coming" from West Side Story.
The Sondheim song is the WORST! I've gone through all of the ones I can and sound like crap.
If anyone can find a DECENT version of "All That Jazz" (movie version prefered) and "Beautiful Day," they'd be my hero forever and ever!
No karaoke for you! If I have to sing a capella.. then gosh darnit.. lol
haha. What sondheim songs did you two come up with?
Not sure yet. Tiff has me down for Being Alive... but I don't know.
Cat found me karaoke for 'Sooner or Later'.. but I only want to use it if you 2 have karaoke tracks, so its fair. If not, I can do that song a capella. I really have no clue yet.
Well, if someone can find me the karaoke to "Something's Coming" from WSS then that would be cool.
Yes that would be cool!
I'm floating betweeen "On the Steps of the Palace," "Moments in the Woods," "I Know Things Now," "Children Will Listen," and "The Ladies Who Lunch." In case you've noticed, a lot of Sondheim is for sopranos or duets/trios. Hence, all of the ITW options.
Dear God, his stuff is hard enough with a track. How I'm going to stay on pitch is beyond me.
Remember all three of you are in the same boat, NO ONE should use a karaoke track, record the song to the best of your ability and let it go.
Make it about the acting and the timing.
I agree 100% and as the person who came up with the Sondheim category, I hereby say it should all be 100% acapella.
It is technically a singing competition and everyone can be on equal footing and show it off. Sondheim can be done acapella, it's just hard. The Final 3 is when things should be getting hard! Bring it people.
What happened to "Giants in the Sky", DJ? (Sorry if it's already been said, I didn't go back in the thread too far.)

There was a song I really wanted you to do, Spidey. I can't remember what it was...but it was good. You should do that one.
Do you remember?
I like the acapella only thing too.
Everyone will have ot be equal and just do their best!

Not While I'm Around! That was it. Though Something's Coming would be great too. And Giants in the Sky. Hell, I just love Sondheim. Heh.
I was thinking that "Not a Day Goes By" from Merrily We Roll Along might be a good song for Spidey as well. Although, that might be too close.
I just thought that "Giants in the Sky" was a done deal.
If anyone wants to reconsider using Karaoke tracks I've recently gotten this karaoke CD
