Taz, WTF?!
That has to be a glitch. I placed an order but fear they may correct it and charge my credit card the um, 'correct' amount. I'm tempted to buy more. This is insane!
I know romantico! But even if they fix it the prices are already 35% discounted so you'll probably only pay like $24.00 total.
As a side note, I ordered 6 dvds and the second 3 were all charged which is wrong also.
I ended up getting 6 titles for $40.00.
The receipt read 0.00 but then said $5.00 shipping. However, they say the shipping is free and my total reads 0.00. Now, I know this can not be but am curious if someone contacts me telling me they made an error or will they just charge me what they want? I didn't think they could send me a receipt where they give me one total and then charge me more for that without contacting me but who knows. It is a great deal.
Amazon is misleading in their emails sometimes.
This is the price for the Twilight Zone Definitive Collection. They said it was the complete series, which is not true. That one is $149 again though.

I got my Hitchcock collection and the movie I was most excited about, VERTIGO, is defective.
Grrrrrrrrrr!
What?!?
I watched Vertigo from the box set already, and it plays beautifully.
Hopefully, you can just swap it and that will solve the problem.
But that sucks!
Marianne2, that link is for the complete series on DVD.
They are currently selling the complete Blu-ray set for $119 at Costco with an in-store, at-the-register, manufacturer's rebate of $30 (down from the sticker price of $149).
The same price is being offered now for the complete Dick Van Dyke Show on BD.
When I watch it the picture completely freezes (as if I had hit pause) at the exact same spot within the first 5 minutes of the film. And the only way to recover is to eject the disc.
I think it's also weird that on my copy the Universal Studio Fanfare plays twice at the beginning of the film when I hit play.
Amazon is always good about exchanges thank goodness.
Oh, thanks! You think they would call the blu ray set & that the same thing. They advertise the blu ray set as the complete series.
Well, they are both "the complete series." Just different media (DVD vs. Blu-ray)
Both have all the episodes, though! So they are "complete."
I did read that the Blu-ray set has quite a few more audio commentaries from cast members. I'm looking forward to hearing them. I've enjoyed the few I've heard so far. Good stuff!

Morosco, that's not a defect, that annoying Universal logo plays twice on all the Hitchcock Blurays in that set, and yeah, it is damned irritating.
I've been very happy with the quality on the Blus so far. ROPE looks very tasty indeed, and the quick scope on VERTIGO I did was very impressive. Can't wait to give it a full watch.

That is a great deal. I am going to pass just because I don't even sit thru those films when they are on tv. But for the fan or collector... GREAT DEAL!
The West Side Story Blu-ray set is only $24.90 on Amazon now. I was going to wait, but I have a blu-ray player now and no discs. Oddly, it was cheaper than the Special Collectors Edition on DVD.
One-day only, best price yet for the original Star Trek series (complete) on Blu-ray. I have this set (I actually worked on it), and the mastering is first-rate, taken from the original negatives, fully restored. Optional enhanced visual effects or original visual effects, also optional enhanced surround audio or original mono. Loaded with extras.

A very good sale is going on at DeepDiscount.com, which is unusual for that site lately.
They are selling a lot of the limited releases and on-demand DVDs and Blu-rays for great prices. For many of us, there is no tax (yet) on these orders, plus free shipping for anything over $25.
This is a lot of the Warner Archive stuff at $10-12, roughly, sometimes less that that, sometimes slightly more.
They have the Gypsy Blu-ray for $12. Deathtrap, too, for $12. Good "rare" stuff, not sold in stores.
Check it out
THANKS! There are some great bargains. I wonder how long this sale is on for.
