Why release everything in 3-D? Will they be viewable to those who can't watch 3-D movies? (They make me motion sick)

i feel so bad for the future generations. they are going to be stuck with all the computer animated crap. they won't experience the classic disney stuff. i'm a disney fanatic (lame i know) and it just breaks my heart.

"i feel so bad for the future generations. they are going to be stuck with all the computer animated crap."

Yes, because the quality of Disney's movies has everything to do with whether they are computer or hand animated. Because, you know, Pixar's computer animated movies have been such crap. I understand the desire to retain hand-animation, but I'd much rather have GOOD computer animated movies than BAD hand animated movies. In an ideal world, I'd like to have good computer AND hand animated movies. It's not like computer animation takes LESS work.

And kids will experience the movies that their parents show them. Their parents will remember the classics. I see no reason to disregard computer animated pictures as "crap" just because of an attachment to the hand-animated classics when Pixar has been doing the most original, quality animated films in YEARS. I'm so glad they're finally releasing Tinker Bell, though a friend saw a first cut and I guess it was unwatchable. Still, I love the Fairies books.

These things never sound good, somehow. None of those storylines seem particularly interesting, but you never know. I remember seeing the trailer for THE INCREDIBLES and not being interested.

On the other hand, God, a sequel to CARS. Feh. There's no way in hell I'd sit through that.

Except that Disney is returning to hand animation as well as computer animation. And what is happenening to all the classic Disney stuff? Did it vanish from the face of the earth when I was in the bathroom? Nope. It's still around. Still classic. Still beloved and featured in the parks, artwork, books, and merchandise all over the world. What makes you think future generations will never experience it?

When I said computer animated crap i didn't mean that the animation is crappy. Quite the contrary, it's very realistic and detailed. I just prefer the hand drawn animation.

"When I said computer animated crap i didn't mean that the animation is crappy. Quite the contrary, it's very realistic and detailed. I just prefer the hand drawn animation."

And my response wasn't even about animation quality. It was about storytelling quality. And there's a big difference between, "Man, I really miss the hand-animated films, I wish they would do more of them," and "Those computer animated films are crap," especially when that "crap" are such better quality films than the recent hand-animated Disney releases.

That makes me very sad.

I did hear that Disney was going back to hand-drawn animation, which is why I was disappointed to see that Rapunzel is going to be CG. I miss being able to see good 2-D animated movies. Another reason I was disappointed somewhat by "Enchanted." A good movie, but an example of Disney still not giving us wat we want. Another great animated fairytale.

yeah.

Edit: Never mind. I was responding to a picture that has since been removed by the eds who won't allow pictures of genitalia but don't have a problem accepting advertising from homophobic religious organizations.
