BREAKING: Intelligence official: 2 more explosive devices found at Boston Marathon; being dismantled

This very much looks like terrorism, foreign or homegrown.

I'm here in Boston. DC put on alert. Flyspace o ver the area has been evacuated.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Reuters Twitter is confirming another explosion at the JFK library. I think this may be one of the devices the police exploded though.

WBZ just reported that one of the undetonated bombs was found directly under the huge grandstand at the finish line, where hundreds of people were sitting.

No link as this is just things I'm seeing posted from being in Boston that are friends of friends on facebook - so take this with a grain of salt.

"Apparently two suspicious suitcases found outside VA office in new york. Bombsquad called."

"Word was they'd shut down the cell towers, because the first bombs were triggered by cell phone. Of course Fog Of War reports are often inaccurate."

Reports now that the JFK library bit was an unrelated fire; people listening on the scanner assuming anything with smoke must be another detonation.

Reports in Boston still saying 2 dead, 23 injured.

police are asking locals NOT to use cell phones. They are concerned that could detonate additional bombs. (and may be how the others were detonated.)

There is nothing being reported here (in Boston) that anyone has been id'd.

There was another incident at JFK library.

NBC news is still saying 2 dead and at least 23 injured. The Boston Police Commish is saying the JFK Library was an explosion.

This is very sad news. It's truly awful that our country has been going such tragic events over the two last two years. First, the Aurora shooting, then the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary, and now this. I'm glad that my sister did not run the marathon this year. She ran it last year and had she decided to do it again I might've lost her.

It's certainly becoming a lot scarier than what we've come to expect to be a United States citizen. Terrifying to think that this sort of thing is nearly commonplace in other parts of the world.

I'm glad to hear your sister elected not to run this year.

Cell phone service has been turned off in Boston. Signals could possibly detonate any other devices.
