A Guy is a Guy
There is one whe sings with children for Christmas time...something about..."I like a Sleigh Ride...". At least, I think that's her.
And if it is....I LOVE her singing that song.
And if it isn't...I LOVE her singing "Cay Sera" (please excuse gringa spelling of this title).
Time to put down the egg nog.

I really like 'Secret Love' too.
Maybe Bette should do the Doris Day Songbook next.
I like the themes to SEND ME NO FLOWERS and LOVER COME BACK. But I have to go with every single thing she sings in LOVE ME OR LEAVE ME, particularly AT SUNDOWN.
Well, there's always "How much is that doggie in the window?".
Doris Day sang HOW MUCH IS THAT DOGGIE IN THE WINDOW? I thought that was Patti Page.

I'd vote for MY SECRET LOVE - and Glebb, I agree about Bette's next album!
Hmmm...maybe it was Patti Page? It just SOUNDS like Doris Day to me.

Thank you, DG....I stand corrected and will now go back to my enjoyment of "Que Sera, Sera" (I spelled it correctly this time, as well!)

Oh, you can spend some time appreciating Ms. Page, as well - she's one of my all-time favorites!
Tennessee Waltz, Old Cape Cod . . .
She sang Tennessee Waltz? I enjoy that song. It was one of my Dad's favorite songs, believe it or not. I love this old song that is beautful, but I can never find anywhere. It's called...Where is your Heart. Myabe Patti sang it as well?
The lyric I remember most is..."Your lips may be near...but where is your heart?"

justme - I think this is what you're thinking of, which is from the 1952 John Huston film MOULIN ROUGE (starring Jose' Ferrer as Toulouse-Lautrec.) I know Connie Francis recorded it at one point, so maybe that's the version you're thinking of.
WHERE IS YOUR HEART
Whenever we kiss I worry and wonder
Your lips may be near but where is your heart
It's always like this I worry and wonder
You're close to me here but where is your heart
It's a sad thing to realize that you've a heart that never melts
When we kiss do you close your eyes pretending that I'm someone else
You must break the spell this cloud that I'm under
So please won't you tell darling where is your heart
Whenever we kiss I worry and I wonder
Your lips may be near but where is your heart
Que Sera, Sera is the song that made me singing (via a rather longwinded story), so I'll have to choose that over all the other beauties...
Since my parents' "song" was "It's Magic", that will always hold a special place for me.
But my choice, also from from ROMANCE ON THE HIGH SEAS, is "Put 'Em In a Box, Tie it With A Ribbon, Throw it in the Deep Blue Sea".
Does that song (Throw it in the Deep Blue Sea) from "Romance on the High Seas" have anything in common with the song at the beginning of GLASS BOTTOM BOAT?
Que Sera Sera, and Pillow Talk
Que Sera Sera --- If you see it in context in Hitchcock's "The Man Who Knew Too Much," she sings it at a nail-biting climax in the film... it has a whole new, tense "layer" to it then. Love the song, love her.
Also love "Sentimental Journey," the song that put her on the map.
exactly best...we watch that movie about every 2 weeks.......I remember feeling totally different about it than when my mother used to sing it to me.

****SPOILER ALERT*****
And her breakdown when she discovers she's been narcotized by Jimmy Stewart in THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH is her best moment in films.

TheEnchantedHunter --- I agree. My first exposure to this movie was on the big screen at a revival house, when I was still pretty young. I had no idea Doris could REALLY ACT, until then. She blew me away in this movie.
I am quite fond of pillowtalk.
