The sad part, was I thought he was already dead and that's why the son was doing the commercials.

are you going to personally harass anyone on this board that offends you today, ckeaton?

Perhaps we need to add a BWW thick skin to the BWW store.

Apparently CK is going to harass everyone today. Just get back from picketing outside the hospice CK?

Actually Frank Perdue means more to me, and has done more for me, than the Pope ever did.

"Harass" is a fun word. It also works both ways. I'm no zealot, and I'm no RodneyK. But feel free to lump me into a group and call me names... God knows it has never happened to you. Feels good, doesn't it.

I would ask that we ALL be respectful of eachother's feelings.

There are people in our lives who mean something to us. If a person doesn't hold a place of importance in your life that is fine, but please remember that we are all entitled to our feelings and beliefs.

I don't think that CK attacked anyone by asking that a subject line be changed. The Pope is the spiritual leader of billions, and should be accorded a certain level of respect.

I try to be open-minded and inclusive in my life. If I have offended anyone with what I have written, please feel free to let me know via a PM.

I respect what CK believes, but everyone has the right to have their own opinion on any issue. If CK has faith and believes the Pope was a great person then I think that's cool, keep believing that, what other people think shouldn't matter, but let them have the right to think something even if it's not what you think.

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

It's the topic of a thread on a messageboard people

Are you going to start writing in to ebay and telling people you're offended about the Virgin Mary showing up on grilled cheese too?

Half the world doesn't believe in the Pope and the other half doesn't even know what he does or how he gets there.

Just giving some respect to Frank Perdue

I had a strange experience with him once. I was living in Boston and working at a bank in Salisbury, Maryland and would fly down Sunday night and come back Friday afternoon. On one flight back, Mr. Perdue and his wife got on the plane. First off, I did not recognize him, because he was a lot better looking in person - I had always pictured a shriveled old man. Anyway, people are chatting him up like he is Ted Danson (it was the early 90's), and he takes his seat - the aisle next to my window. His wife also sits on the aisle opposite him - I thought it strange that they did not sit rigth together, as the seats next to her were empty. Anyway, during the flight he proceeded to eat a banana...which is not strange at all...but sticking the peel in the magazine pouch in front and leaving it there for the next flyer is. I thought that was pretty nasty stuff. Anyway, Frank, RIP.

bad, while I agree with you 100%, the Pope holds a great deal of responsibility for Poland being free now, and he needs to be respected if only for that.

"It's the topic of a thread on a messageboard people"

Whatever, it's still offensive.

The pope has angered me with what he has done to further the demonization of homosexuals. However, he is a world leader who deserves respect for the good he has done.

The least you could do is to change the title.

How about just respecting people as human beings? The importance of one death being compared to that of another is just wrong.

I say live and let live - let people have their own criticism, reactions, etc;...life is way too short to get into an argument over something you find offensive. If you don't like it - don't read it. Hell, thats why I've blocked several of the users on this board - they say the most insipid things and I find it easier to just make sure I don't see what they say!

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

The thing is people caring more about Frank Perdue being dead than a layman that did more for the world in 26 years than anyone else, peacewise. Some people on here are really imbeciles. All these threads should be deleted.

I'm with Plum on this one. I would be just as offended if someone wrote "Forget Frank Perdue...the pope died." Why do we have to forget anyone? I understand both sides of the argument, but out of a basic respect for human life, the title seems inapproprate.
