Well typically the spinoff happens when the original show is winding down. But Grey's is obviously not in that place so...I don't see the need for a spinoff either.

"It's great that you can listen and be a shoulder to someone, but what about when someone doesn't need a shoulder? What if they need the arms or something like that? I don't think the concept of the spin-off is the worst idea, but it's far too soon for a spin-off when the original show is still on the air and only in it's third season. Much, much too soon.

NBC has three Law and Order shows. CBS has three CSI shows. They didn't wait until the original versions were in decline.

Maybe ABC wants its own franchise - "Addison's Anatomy", "Izzie's Anatomy", etc.

Okay, that would be dumb..... especially considering that "Grey's Anatomy" is a play on Gray's Anatomy (I think it's spelled with an a. maybe not, I always get it confused), the medical journal

Yeah, the book is Gray's Anatomy, cause the author is Henry Gray.

I agree, Montgomery's Anatomy or whatever just sounds stupid. I'm sure Shonda will come up with a better name for it. Like "Dr. Montgomery, Baby Saving Adulteress". Haha juuust kidding.

Finally it's Thursday!!! I'm pissed because I have to work tonight, but I'm taping it of course.

I'm not a fan of Taye, but how amazingly gorgeous would the two be together???

Nooooo...please don't do this! I love Kate Walsh and Addison, but I don't want to watch another show! Leave Addison be!

Quite an interesting idea adding Taye into the mix. Though I think they should just add him on Grey's. Talk about catapulting someone to superstardom overnight.

Are they really going to have name-sake Meredith Gray die? I think it would be nifty if they killed off Burke (the bigot) instead.

Ok, why in the heck do I watch a show that almost every week has me in tears. Granted I am still dealing with the loss of a loved one so all of this Denny, Dylan, George's dad, Doc, Mer, etc... dying or threat of dying stuff gets to me, but holy crap! I love this show and Sandra Oh is amazing. I love her to death.

worst. episode. ever.

OK maybe not the worst, but in the top five. That was just- ugh. I cared more about the death of George's father, who I knew for all of two episodes, than I cared about Meh and the hour spent in the white light. Sandra Oh was amazing tonight, but the episode was just ugh. Shonda could've totally wrapped those three hours up in a 90 minute episode. Last year's two hour arc superbowl episode was so much better.

I disagree, not worst ever, but not best ever. I liked it for what it was, but I do think last year's Superbowl arc was better. The acting was great though.

I really liked this episode

Loved when Meredith and her mom connected...I was in tears.

It was amazing to see Denny again, he completely broke my heart and made me cry...again. Izzy is a *itch. Christina going to the dollar store was great and when she went in there and said try again and then when she talked to Meredith it was moving

It wasn't the best, but I really enjoyed it. I love this show!

Oh, I did laugh at the random Addison/Mark bet at the end, though:

"well the February sweeps death arc is all wrapped up. Hmm- I know- you can't have sex until next sweeps period!"
"Well that means you can't have sex until next sweeps period either!"
"Ok. But come next sweeps period, who am I gonna be having sex with?"
Cut to Alex.

Or, at least, that's what it sounded like in my head.

I have a feeling Meredith's mom is going to die. I mean, she's still in the hospital waiting for surgery? I could picture a scene of Mer's mom dying spending a moment with Mer and then Mer coming back to life.

I believe I called a little of that, a thank you.

good job, boxers7!

It's funny, I teared up during last week's episode, but not during tonight except for when Denny talked about seeing Izzie and when they brush by each other at the end. Seeing Mer almost die wasn't sad. I care about her the least of all the characters.

I must say, I LOVED seeing Denny. Denny. Denny. Denny.

"No, Meredith is NOT dying."

Actually, clinically she did die....

I thought most of the episode was laughable, but I loved, loved, LOVED the Izzie/Denny scene at the end. Definitely teared up. God, I wish Denny could come back to life! He was SO great.
