The men on this show treat the women like sh*t. All of them. You know, if someone decided they weren't sure if they could be with me because they didn't approve of how I was behaving when I was drowning, I'd slug the guy in the nuts and call it a day. Seriously. Take a good look. Every man on that show treats women like sh*t.
I agree, but the flip side of that is that the women put up with it. The worst example of this is Meredith and Derek's relationship. Yeah, he's a jerk, but she's whiny, hopelessly needy and extremely codependent (clearly, I'm not a fan of the character). I think I actually snorted when Derek said that he was letting Meredith go because she wouldn't fully commit to him. Please! I guess you could read that as his rationalization for not wanting things to work out with her, but I certainly don't see it as being the truth.
AH, thanks CJR. I remember now. Poor Izzie, she was so hurt.
Damn you people! I just had to buy the season on iTunes.
"EDIT: Can't find it on iTunes... is it on there? I'm going to be very upset."

Thanks! That's disappointing. But this is really going to give her a name. At least, now I'm a fan.
Yeah! That song was going through my head all day yesterday so I decided to check her out. She has some great music.

BTW, I don't think Burke is going anywhere any time soon:

That song was great. I finally got to see the last hour of the show this afternoon. I am an idiot. Was out on Thurs and set the vcr to tape for an hour instead of two. I really don't expect Washington to lose his job. I think they are totally playing with us as far as Burke and George are concerned. Those moments at Burke's with Sandra Oh after the wedding was called off were perfection. I have been waiting for something like this out of her since the show started. I also think the chief is going to tell Callie he has changed his mind and is going to stay. And I don't think we will see George for a while.
Callie is not replacing the Chief.
He is Chief of Surgery.
Callie and Bailey were going for Chief Resident.
There was no explanation for Callie getting chosen over Bailey.
what a terrible episode... but Sandra Oh really deserves an emmy for that performance...
I was a bit disappointed at first with this episode, but after a bit, I think I really like the way they ended the season. They played perfectly into all of the buzz surrounding the show and its stars. I like that is was more about the characters personally than something like someone getting hurt or shot and you have to wait until the next season to see if they pull through. It didn't leave you saying "Oh my God" and sending you to the water cooler to talk about it. But it did leave you wondering how they are all going to sort out their problems. JMO
I thought it was a great episode.
Just a few thoughts:
Izzie annoys me more and more each episode. The writers need to STOP forcing the Izzie/George storyline.
Sandra Oh is a goddess. She was amazing.
I don't think Derek was being too much of a d*ck. Honestly, anyone who is in a relationship with someone as difficult as Meredith Grey deserves some leeway for being an ass.
Why the hell didn't Bailey get Chief Resdient? I love Callie, but honestly.
I hope Isaiah Washington is gone for good.
I hope T.R. Knight isn't.
Bringing in Meredith's half-sister was a pretty sly move. I like it.
The whole episode left me depressed. Nothing turned out as I hoped it would. Still looking forward to next season to see how they clean it all up. I'll second an Emmy for Sandra Oh!
I am finally to the end of the season. On only two episodes left. I want to molest Addison most of the time. When does the new show start?
lol, JerseyGirl.
You know, when she puts on those glasses and gets all serious.. She's got that totally hot librarian thing going on. Then every once in a while she makes that duck lip face that doesn't do it for me.
Anyway, finished the season. It's really not smart to meet anyone who works at that hospital. You smile at one of them and you will be on the operating table within the month. Meredith annoys me. I guess she is supposed to, to an extent. I want George and Callie to make it. I think Izzy should he a supportive best friend. She has the JD and Elliot thing on Scrubs. I think she only wants him because he is taken. When she told Alex that she didn't want him but didn't want him to want anyone else either, something seemed to click. I guess we will see. Sandra Oh was spectacular and looks VERY odd without eyebrows. And it would have made me overwhelmingly happy if Adelle would have said, "I'm tired, Richard, I'm tiiiiired." Okay, it's late and I am slap happy.
How is what Callie said bitchy in any way at all? Callie knows that Izzie wants George, so she is making sure that Izzie knows that she and George took it another step.
If it was me, I would have been a LOT meaner (or kicked Izzie's ass).
Honestly, if Izzie left the show, i think it would be SO much better.
And Derek was basically being a jerk, I am proud of Meredith for ending it.
I actually agree that the show would be better without Izzie. Which is sad to say, because I loved her character before. However, I am so sick of her character right now. I am rooting for George/Callie, IMHO they are perfect for each other and I don't understand all the hatred towards Callie. She was in no way a bitch to Izzie, she knows what Izzie is up to, and is going to fight for her husband.
Sandra Oh was brilliant in the finale. Her scene at the end gave me goosebumps. Emmy!
Izzie isn't good anymore and that makes me sad. I am rewatching the first season now. I loved her. She is just too tragic this season. And why shouldn't Callie fight for her husband?

Derek wasn't being a jerk. Meredith is the jerk for not getting what she just effed up.
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
I absolutely agree, CJR. Nothing just ever...clicks with Meredith.
Furthermore, while I'm not sure I want Izzie completely off the show, I certainly don't want to witness her Eponine "woe is me" crap anymore. I feel like they are just beating this storyline into the ground, a storyline that never had much ground or basis to start with. UGH.
NO Derek really WAS a jerk. His speech was nice, but his actions weren't. Meredith had just been through a really hell week and tried to reach out again and he said "I met someone last night and it was great and you should be worried." Yeah, that is being a jerk. When someone you claim to love just went through probably one of the worst weeks of their life, you just don't do that.
And I still can't stand him for the whole drowning comments.
And I had a dream about Grey's last night for the first time. It was VERY odd and about next season. I guess I will have to wait until next season to see if I am having visions!
Enjoyed this episode...but had this wicked thought....since they introduced Lexie, they really could get rid of Meredith and still call it Grey's Anatomy.
(And that would make me very happy....Meredith annoys the crap out of me!

Meredith having gone through hell or not doesn't change the fact that she's been a jerk. Her "leaving him" is nothing new. She was doing that BEFORE she decided not to swim.

She should have shared with him and leaned on him rather than push him away. It's still hard to wrap my head around the fact that ALL of this was supposed to have happened in a YEAR.
