It's television, so that's how what Meredith did makes sense and works out. Television is supposed to be a happy fantasy land where everything that doesn't make sense here in the real world, automatically makes sense there. Ooh, maybe I should try to find it and live happily ever after. LOL! But if I ended up in Grey's Anatomy, we all know happiness is not a big thing.
I was annoyed about the whole on again and off again with Meredith makin up her mind about him. Get it over with already. Rhimes felt the ratings slip when they broke up and rewrote the script, she was interviwed. Her going to the shrink made sense for her to work out her problems. Chandra Wilso, Bailey, is one of the best in the show. The Izzy and George line fizzled because no one like them together. I heard Izzy cannot wait to get out the show with her hit movies. Personally, I think McSteamy is better looking than McDreamy and all is made out to be is a cad I never liked Jessica Hahn' personality. She was that way on Crossing Jordan To make her having an affair with Calle seems ludicrous. Eveyone falls in love with these characters and you always root for them like Calle, George, Izzie, Meredith, Alex, and the rest. James Pickens should finally dump his wife and get someone that appreciates him. AND Addidon should definitely come back to the show. That episode was so good with her on it. She is wasted on Private Practice.
So, I just found out that nominations for Emmys are coming soon and the ballot is out. And guess who withdrew their name from even being considered?
That's right, Katherine Heigl who won for Best Supporting Actress last year did not. And guess why? Because of the writers. In a way, I do agree that she really did not deserve a nomination this year, and it would be because she was not given anything really decent, and Izzie has just been crappy this season. However, at least let the nominating commitee decide that. Had she gotten nominated, she probably could have withdrew her name instead of pulling this diva crap.

I looked through the ballot, and everyone else from the show is included. Obviously it does not mean they will get nominated for sure. I really hope that Sara Ramirez, Sandra Oh, and Chandra Wilson are considered. Maybe Ellen Pompeo too for the last few episodes, although I cannot stand Meredith at all. Everyone else, they weren't bad, but they just did not give any sort of standout performance this past season. Well, that is my opinion anyway.

Sorry about that. It works now.

What is the difference between pulling her name out now and pulling her name out after receiving a nomination?
The way she did it now is far more classy and less "divaesque", and in fact would have gone unnoticed except she was asked point blank about it.
See, I don't think she would have gotten one anyway. However, because of stuff she has said recently about her movie roles and what was done to Izzie, she does not sound classy at all and sounds more embarrassed that she plays these roles.
And the fact that she is blaming the writers for this, is what bothers me the most. I'm sorry, but why can't people just accept that they are on an awesome series, and just be happy about that? The writers do move the storyline along, but since this award is for acting, that is what should matter the most.
First major spoiler of the season and it should interest my BWW brothers and sisters...
Bernadette Peters will be in the season premier. She and best friends, Mariette Hartley and Kathy Baker, all require care.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan, better known as Denny Duquette, will also be in the premier. Figure that one out.
Callie and Erica are absolutely on, though not really together yet. There will be some serious gay panic happening.
And for you Mer/Der peeps, Rose is NOT gone yet. At least not yet.
Sounds interesting. Yeah, I was not thrilled about Callie and Hahn at first, only because I cannot stand Hahn, like I have mentioned a bunch of times. But, I've gotten used to the idea. Plus, it should be interesting if Mark is still in their little group. And yes, I still find it too weird to call Hahn by her first name. LOL! Something I will have to work on and accept too.

Her publicist released a statement when she did it. She could have easily said, I just didn't feel like I was a contender this year. She's not the first. Candace Bergen did the same, but without the controversy. Many choose not to submit. They just don't make snarky press releases, and then giggle when repeating it to the press. I am just glad it's dying down.
So... We only have 3 more weeks until the season premire. I know I'm excited. Even after hearing rumors all summer, I still have no idea what's going to happen. I just know I am not becoming a shipper of any new couples until I actually get to see them for myself and can make the decision on if they are a good couple or not. I really think people are just in to Callie/Hahn now because it was put out there as an idea, and people seem to just follow because of what they see. Heck, someone even admitted on a Grey's forum that reason was why they were for them as a couple.
What I love about this show is how anything can happen, and there are so many different ways to interpret what things mean. It makes for more interesting conversation of the show, than what just happened and the outcomes being predictible. Okay, some are, but they have been doing a better job lately of keeping us in the dark.
There are some crazy promos out there. Before anyone gets all worked up, just remember, not everything is as it appears.
Yes, I actually read on one of the Grey's sites I visit what is actually up with Rose saying she's pregnant. Actually, it was from Ausiello. Apparently, while Shonda has said that Rose is definitely not pregnant, whoever made the promos was not told to not put that footage in or whatever. So, Shonda has been forced to put out another word regarding that.
Here is where I got the info from:

Oh yes, and there is no source linked to this rumor, but I read it on the IMDB boards. That being said, I have no idea if this is true or not. But, the rumor is that Rebecca Gayheart (Eric Dane's wife)is supposed to make an appearance on the show as an ex girlfriend of Erica. This should be interesting, if it is indeed true.
It's probably a dream sequence. There will probably be several. That was scripted months ago, though. Things can change. This is supposed to be the one where Callie dreams about the guys who were mean to her in school and Denny comes back. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is supposed to be in the premier. If you watch that promo closely, it's Derek on the stretcher and someone tiny, either Meredith or Cristina, gets stabbed with an icesicle. (See the link for slomo.) Too much for a premier. I think they are all dreams.
Promo with slow motion points at the end
Yeah, I assumed that when I saw it and knew it was not true. Actually, the title I have been reading for the premire is 'Dream a Little Dream of Me," so it makes sense for there to be a ton of things that are not going to be real, in the sense of happening in real time for the characters.
And, I am totally kidding about this, but I was definitely reminded of "It's A Wonderful Life," with some of these things that are being said of the premire. It would definitely be a bit cliche.
Since this has become our own little conversation, apparently...lol. Unless there is a change in her schedule, you-know-who will not be at the Primetime Emmy's either. :/ I was looking forward to seeing her all dolled up.
I know. Actually, there really is no reason for any of the cast except for Chandra and Sandra to go either because the show was not nominated for for best drama, or whatever the category is. I think Sara should just come back to New York because she is always out and about there. LOL!
I believe they are usually invited regardless of the nomination. It's great free publicity for the upcoming season. As for NYC, she's coming back for a bit. She'll be in that weekend. I doubt she'll be doing much.
I need the damn show to start for me to get interested in it again.
Oh, okay, I did not know that. I just had to check when the Emmys are because I couldn't remember. Man, you seem to be up on your Sara whereabouts. I can't even keep track of all that.
Okay, this made me giggle. It was at the bottom of the screen.
Kinda off topic, but Sara made a video encouraging people to vote no on proposition 8.

Very cool, thanks for sharing. She is so awesome, which is why I love her so much. :) And yes, I have seen that Grey's Anatomy ad before.
I'm pretty sure that the actors are only invited if they are nominated, if their show is nominated in the Best Drama/Best Comedy/Best TV or Mini-Series category, or if they are presenters.
I imagine only Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson will be attending this year, unless one of the other actors is presenting. I know all the DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES are presenting even though none were nominated.
Episode stills are up and I had forgotten about Bernadette. And Sara and Bernadette have a scene together. Be still my heart.
Where did you see them? I have not seen them anywhere yet. And as bad as this sounds, with the premire being 3 weeks away, I fear that those awful photoshopped pictures is what we are getting for new cast pictures this season. But they can't be, if Kevin McKidd is a new regular.
