I loved tonight's episode. All the Callie/Arizona action was great. Callie's father is nuts. I get him not being supportive, but it was weird how he was trying to buy Callie's way out of Seattle. And I loved Callie speaking Spanish. I did not see that coming at all, only because it didn't seem like something she would do when she gets upset. But, I guess it's different with family. And better so a lot of people would not understand their fight. From the spoilers I read before seeing this episode, I'm glad that Callie was the one to break off from her father, before he did it. Regardless, the situation sucks, but I think it was good for Callie to stand up to her father.
And yay for George action tonight. This was the George I fell in love with and miss. Izzie was rather annoying. Her jokes were actually not funny at all. Imagine, if the 3rd time where it was an actual emergency, and nobody came because they thought she was faking again.
Lexie eating was funny too, although it kind of makes no sense in the timeline now. I mean, it sounds like it was only a few days or so since the last episode, and for Lexie to get fat like she did, it makes no sense. I know, Chyler Leigh is pregnant and that's their way of hiding it, but the idea just came off a tiny bit sloppy, I thought.

I'm actually shocked that didn't happen. She was pissing me off.
But I loved Callie tonight! Especially with the Spanish. I was happy to see that Arizona was there for her when she broke things off with her father. And it was so good to see that George actually had a storyline tonight! I just hate how much of a jerk Alex is to him.
Previews for next week didn't show anything about Izzy. Thank God.
I feel like there was too much edited out of tonight's episode. There should have been another scene with Callie and her dad.
I am ready for Izzie to die.
SPOILERS:
If they're going to marry them off, I hope she dies. I can't stand the idea of Izzie and Alex trying to be newlyweds next year. And Danny is coming back yet again. I am just really over the whole thing. KILL HER ALREADY.
I don't want Izzie to die. I actually laughed really hard when she pulled that sh*t on Christina. I also dug the wedding dress.
Denny's coming back? Jesus ENOUGH already!
And I loved Meredith's last dress. She looked stunning.
Yeah, I did think it was a tiny bit odd how Callie was fighting with her father, but there was no real interaction between the two after he said he was going to buy her way out of the program and bring her home. And then all we got after that was some fight in Spanish, and Callie saying she cut him off before he could do it.
Yes, I agree, Izzie just needs to be gone. I don't care if she dies from the cancer or gets hit by a bus, or just goes away. Last night made me realize why I do not like her.
I wasn't sure if I had just missed another conversation between Callie and her father because I had to take my dog outside to pee haha, but I guess I didn't.
It's a shame about Izzie because I really used to like her and the emotions that went along with her character. But now I think it's just been taken too far and she's become plain annoying. Oh how I miss Season 2. That was the best.

Denny's coming back?
Yes. Denny is coming back to get Izzie.
p.s.
"I'm here for you!"
I can think of worse people to walk into the light with than Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
I really don't understand why they keep bringing Denny back. I've never been a fan of him, but he was better when he was alive. I thought it was too weird when he was talking to dead Meredith, only because they never really had any close interaction. But, I guess they needed someone more prominant than just Dylan and the girl from the train accident. I also thought it was decently okay for Izzie to be seeing him when Hahn's patient came in, over guilt. It has just gotten ridiculous though, so if or when Izzie dies, it better be the end of him too.
And just a random thought. I don't know if anyone has seen Wicked lately, so it might just be the actress in that right now. But, does Arizona strike a resemblance to Glinda, or is it just me? It also might just have been the way Alli Mauzey played her.
I wouldn't put it past ABC to start a new show about Izzie and Denny's dead life together.
I'm hoping tonight's episode was not that good in anticipation that next week and the finale episodes will be fantastic.
I'm hoping to not hear anymore about Callie having no money. I actually was hoping cutting off her father meant that she was stable enough to handle that stuff herself. Apparently it seems not, and that makes me a little mad. Not at Callie, but poor writing, in my opinion. And when she was mentioning family members, I thought it was mentioned that she was an only child, but she said she had a sister named Aria. Yes writers, you need to go back and check your facts.
And if people in my house didn't have loud conversations during Grey's, I probably would have heard everything Callie was talking about.
The storyline with the little girl was boring. Regardless of what was going on in the kid's life, she probably would have been taken in by the police for questioning. They did it on Law and Order: SVU when Sara Ramirez was a guest star.
And Izzie's mother was just an add on to why I dislike her.
Callie's dad DID say she was his only daughter. A 5th year resident also makes about $54k a year. This show is just stupid.
Yes, I now remember he mentions it in the episode where he meets George, hence why he is so overprotective of her. I forget if he said that last week to the chief. The only daughter thing, not the overprotectiveness, because I do remember that.
And someone else mentioned this somewhere else, but I didn't think of it until now. It's just what Callie's parents were like and thinking when they named her and her sister because their names are Calliope and Aria.
I didn't find the episode overly boring last night, but the whole story with the little girl could have been so much better. The only thing I really enjoyed about it was the parallel between Meredith and the little girl, and between the chief and the mother.
Now about Izzie's mother, I wanted to strangle her. I realize she was supposed to be funny, but she wasn't. She was annoying as hell.
Could someone who knows more about guns than I answer this: doesn't having shot her father more than 17 times (they counted 17 bullets in his body, I'm supposing that she missed a shot or two) mean that the little girl would have had to reload the gun at some point? I thought semi-automatic pistol magazines only held something like 10 rounds.
I actually found the Izzie's mom storyline interesting, and was seeing the parallel in *that* storyline (rather than the shooting story) with Meredith and her mom, in that I think Izzie obviously had a less than perfect childhood also, (I didn't find her mom 'funny,' rather neglectful in her own way), yet Izzie's been able to grow up and move on/move beyond that- she's accepted that this is who her mom is, and even while dying is totally setting up a lie about 'disappearing cancer' in order to allow her mom to live in this happy little bubble world for longer. She knows that's who her mom is, and she's accepted it, and is moving on without her... versus Meredith, who, yes, we get it, we all know your mommy didn't love you, we don't need the reminder from your mommy's lover that your mommy didn't love you- *shrug* I don't know, it's been 100 episodes now, and I just don't feel we've seen any kind of growth in Meredith's mommy issues. ymmv.
I actually read that there are a lot of 9mm guns that hold 17 round magazines. I think we're supposed to assume that she didn't miss at all. I mean, if Izzie can have sex with a ghost, a kid can be a sharp shooter, right?
Yeah, the whole thing with the little girl shooting her father was just unrealistic. They definitely would have gotten the police in to question her and her mother, and possibly some psychological evaluation to understand better why she did it.
And the reasons mentioned are definitely part of the reason I cannot stand Meredith. Izzie and her mother are just the types that I would find annoying.
How is it all possible that Christina can afford her rent on her salary and Callie, who has to be making more, can't?
It's not. But Izzie also had sex with a ghost, so Grey's hasn't been very realistic for a while now.

A few things:
Totally possible for that litle kid to get off 17 rounds into her father. Especially with a 9mm and ESPECIALLY if this was supposed to be a household where guns were pretty prevelant (which, Im assuming they were). That kid was what? 6? 7? I can't remember. Anyway, point being, I could get off 17 rounds in the same target without missing when I was that age (but I was also the granddaughter of a federal firearms dealer).
As for the Cristina/Callie thing, I'm assuming it's just supposed to be that Cristina is more frugal with her money, whereas Callie used her salary as "play" money, rather than saving it, and was living off her trust fund. Take the trust fund away and boom, she can't make rent. I know people like that, sadly.... so I get it.
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
But if Callie had access to her trust fund, then wasn't it hers? How could her father take it away? Don't most trust funds pay out at a certain age? Callie is supposed to be at least 31. I don't know much about trust funds. I was the kid that was told I had to go to a cheap school because my parents couldn't help me. lol
She has no student loans to pay off. Her car is paid off. The truth is, Shonda Rhimes is a moron sometimes. She sent a tweet during the show that said, "Residents only make $27k a year. Callie is not rich!" Well, the tiniest bit of googling would have shown the report that the AMA put out last year that said 5th year residents average $54k. And that's just the average. Seattle Grace is supposed to be one of the top hospitals in the country. Yes, I think too much about this. She lived in the basement and then on Cristina's couch for a while. There's no evidence she's a big spender except when it came to the ridiculous hotel thing.

Very true. And if she WAS a big spender, when would she be spending all this money she's making? She pretty much lives at the hospital. They all do. Their social lives are each other and Joe's. (But come to think of it, I haven't seen them at Joe's for a while.)
And does anyone actually think MerDer is getting married Thursday?!
