I have a final tomorrow in Spanish and I have to speak about all sorts of B.S. for the speaking section (obviously)...really random but does anyone know how to say "Please don't give me hairspray"? I know its so random but Im stuck LOL.
I know hairspray is 'laca'...Oh, and dont use freetranslations as it doesnt have it the way we were taught in class. Thanks :)

No me das laca por favor.
OR
Por favor, no quiero laca.
Are two ways to get the point across.

Si qieres que yo te hago el homework te va a costar dinero.
Or, in other words, if you want me to do your homework it's going to cost you money.
Hey! I live in spain! this is my thread xD
"Please don't give me hairspray" -> No me des la laca, por favor.
'Does my room have an airconditioner?' -> mi habitación tiene aire acondicionado?

Shouldn't it be 'hablas espanol'?

Well, those of us who are Cuban Conchs say it differntly--
so there!
I know, I know...but no one I've ever met says, "mi habitacion."
"Mi cuarto," is more commonly used.
Besides, I would never point to my Spanish as the most grammatically correct. I'm the first to admit it.
it depends of the spanish spoken José.
In spain everybody would say "mi habitación"
There are many different spanish in the world! cuban is much different than the spoken in spain (in fact where I live, we have an additional language: catalonian), argentina, mexico or venezuela.
regarding the "habla español?" or "hablas español?" question, the first one (without the S) it's a most formal form, but both are correct.

Pol, I couldn't agree with you more.
I believe that Spanish is one of the languages with the most dialects. If not, it should be.
Hola Jose!
Or you can be a lazy bum and say something not really used (although I have seen it on signs): Favor de no darme la laca...
Favor de no darme la laca <- sounds like a Sondheim lyric in spanish.
xD
Podemos añadir costarricense a los dialectos de español... y si hablo en 'pachuco' nadie me entiende (pachucho = street slang, more or less)
I have my final next week. I don't know what's on it so there you go. We just finished reading Lazarillo de Tormes.

Hola amiga! Coma esta?
And...that's all I know.
The great thing about orals is that you can find so many ways around a problem. I was nervous during my final, so when my teacher asked me what would give one of my parents for his/her birthday, I said "un regalo."
I need to brush up my Spanish, since I'll be studying in Madrid this fall!! I'm very excited, but nervous because I know I'll sound like a bumbling foreigner.
*High fives WiCkEDrOcKS* Yo tengo un final de espanol manana tambien
No me gusta tener un final pero yo se es muy importante. Creo que mi final solamente un examen de papel.
suzycat! are you coming to study in spain???
I hope that you will have a great time, Madrid it's a great city, and you can see there "mamma mia", "cabaret", "hoy no me puedo levantar" (a local musical) and soon "victor or victoria" and "the lion king"!
There's a really great site called babblefish.com that tranlates anything under the sun. Try it sometime.
