Has anyone seen the show on Lifetime called The Nanny. It's pretty old, but it's about a lady who's a nanny and a man who's trying to make a better musical than Andrew Llyod Webber. I just started tyo watch it and I love it!
If you like that you should check out Hazel...It has an actual Broadway Star in the lead! :)

If "The Nanny" is being referred to as pretty old, that just made ME feel pretty old.
And it is not hard to make a better musical than Andrew Lloyd Webber. Tons of composers do it all the time.

Kitz - think of how that would make Fran feel! lol.
I was at a taping of The View last Wednesday and Fran Drescher was the guest-du-jour.
Has anyone seen this? Are you kidding?!?!
I used to watch this show ALL THE TIME for like 7 years. it was pretty darn popular if I'm not mistaken. Love fran Drescher, and the characters of CeCe and the butler are hilarious!
Oh, I didn't want people to feel old! It just looked old! I don't really know how long its been on air! I'm sorry.
Hazel looks like this actress who played Dolly Levi in this old, old movie and for some reasons they didn't have the songs.
The Nanny's from the nineties, so not too long ago, but still considered by some to be a *different* time.
The Nanny is definitely a guilty pleasure...actually, I needed to be really obnoxious for a role recently, and taped 3 days of it and watched it straight so I could nail Fran Drescher's voice. Brilliant!

The Nanny is my absolute favorite show!
I LOVE this show! (Particularly the butler!) If you've only seen it in syndication, you really have to look at the DVD's released for the first and second seasons. It's incredible how many really funny scenes were cut for syndication.

This show is such a guilty pleasure of mine. Did anyone see the episode when she goes into labor before the wedding and is flipping out and doesn't want to go to the hospital because Barbra Streisand was going to be in attendence? And then she ends up sneaking out of the hospital room to go see Babs and it turned out the entire wedding party came to the hospital...oy, its scary how much I remember from this show!

On Friday Nights when i was about 2. I still have baby videos when i was watching that show, never got the point untill a couple years ago and always wonder do they pay people in the audience to laugh, because some of the stuff arent that funny.
Oh, yea, the butler is really funny. I bet he would be great on stage. Maybe in a revival of La Cage? What do you guys think?
Oh, and Glebb, I saw that too. It was called "Hiya, Dolly Levi" and the songs were cut because they weren't any good.
Couldn't they have gotten Marnie Nixon or was she too old?
It wasn't the voice, the song just SUCKED.

I LOVE the nanny, I remember watching it with my mom when I was younger lol. Now it just reminds me of being home sick from school watching lifetime all day :). Also including the golden girls! haha gotta love it.
Hi-ya-Dol-ly-Le-vi = polonaise?
That is kind of a hard song to write.
