.........."Indian (slurpie not casino)".
Wow, just noticed this comment.
I'm bumping this - I'm surprised no one else did before - last night was GREAT!
This show has solidified its place in my weekly schedule - which is more than I can say for any other show this year (including the Nine which was VERY disappointing last week).
OMG Hiro is so cute!
I read that Hiro guy still does his day job doing fx work at ILM! He's hysterical, and totally did not expect the english speaking at the end.
I'm enjoying the show, and don't mind watching all the pieces come together, as long as there's some big moment coming up VERY soon. (The preview looks promising.)
And while that Milo Vitameatavegamin is very cute, I just wanna cut those bangs or run some gel through them. He's acting with them waaay too much.
This weeks episode was amazing. It just keeps getting better. I advise people catching the reruns on Sci-Fi Channel.

This show is 10 times better than I thought it would be. So far, I'd have to say it's the best new show of the season by a longshot and I'm glad so many people are checking out a "sci-fi" series that is wonderfully written and acted.
Sci-Fi channel is going to have a marathon of the first 6 episodes on Wednesday, November 29th beginning at 6:00pm EST for those of you haven't been watching and want to check it out.

So - is the father a good guy or bad guy?
(I just watched the episode on NBC.com. Thank G-d for them putting episodes on so I don't have to worry about missing them. Especially since I plan my Monday's around this show!)

"And while that Milo Vitameatavegamin is very cute, I just wanna cut those bangs or run some gel through them. He's acting with them waaay too much"
I read somewhere that he hates his hair. I also read that they were going to put something into the plot that would either eliminate it all together or make it different so it wasn't as dreamy.
I think it was Entertainment Weekly where he said that he's dying to cut his bangs, and has all these stories and reasons why his character would cut them, but the producers won't let him.
I cant' figure out Claire's father. One minute I'm convinced he and the girl he has helping him are evil, and then the next I think he's trying to help the "heroes". (This is the way I felt about Locke on "Lost" the first season too........)
Of course, I still haven't figured out whether the mom with the dual personality is good or evil yet either. And the new radiation guy. I'm wondering if we'll end up seeing two camps of people with special abiliites emerge.....the "heroes" and "the villians".
And I really hope we see more of "Google Girl", the waitress from the last episode. She was a really fun character, and I'd like to see more of her and Hiro.
bumping for tonight's episode, where we apparently figure out the meaning of "Save the Cheerleader, save the world"
speaking of that, has anybody heard that whispered sentence being used subliminally at the end of promos for other NBC shows? I keep hearing it, especially at the end of "Deal or no Deal" promos. it's not really subtle, either. am I crazy, or is anyone else hearing this?
Well, that was not what I was expecting.
oh, and i have more questions now than I had before.
I was totally disappointed by the big showdown. It almost felt like a Michael Crichton movie... it just ended. But I will still watch next week.
Better than the previous two episodes, that's for sure!
Peter needs to lose the anime-boy bangs, dammit.
OK....So we saved the cheerleader...but how does that save the world?
I thought the biggest revelation of this episode was that Peter doesn't have his own powers, he just absorbs and is able to use the powers of those around him. This could make Peter the most powerful character if all our "heroes" eventually end up in one place.
According to the NBC website, next week's episode takes place 6 months ago. Gee...I'm starting to feel like I"m watching Lost!
i think the fall finales crap is getting out of control and networks are promoting ordinary, everyday shows like "finales" for the sweeps/ratings. seriously, lost's finale was laughable, heroes is good but set itself up for something much bigger last night and did not deliver and i fear that prison break will do the same next week before it goes on hiatus.
I agree with Robb - the fall finale thing is ridiculous and it needs to stop. The way they were promoting this episode I was starting to wonder if it was going to lead to a break in the story where we'd suddenly be going in a whole other direction - they were promising answers and a resolution WAY before their time. The problem was they WERE leading to that showdown (from the painitings) since the first episode, but they didn't deliver the goods on a REAL showdown between Peter and Sylar. Also, since we KNOW that Hiro was the one to set Peter in motion, why the hell wasn't he there???
oh, i'm okay with the pace in which the story is unfolding and the layers they have in telling the tale, it's just the hype for this episode that declared it will explain "save the cheerleader. save the world" didn't deliver on the last part - yet.

Last night's episode was such a letdown. The commecials etc keep building the show up to make you think something huge is going to happen and one of two things usually happens: 1) nothing huge occurs at all or 2) when the "huge moment" occurs, it's a letdown because you've already seen too much of it in trailers etc.
I really hope this show gets back on track because it's a little to early for my taste for a show to begin to lag. I thought it started off brilliantly (the first four or five episodes made it one of the year's best new shows) but all of a sudden, the writing is lacking something. I hope they begin to make it a little bit more fast-paced than it has been in recent episodes. And I really hope they spruce up the story-lines too because there are some I hate (Mohinder, Nathan, Nikki/Jessica) and some I love (Hiro, Claire, Issac). Some of the heroes' stories are lagging while others are right on cue making what was once an entertaining, fast-paced hour of TV a lopsided, uneven one.
I feel like they've wasted too much time with Mohinder already. I mean, he's OK, and I get his importance (I think), but to spend so much time away from the real action on a character with no powers is dragging the show down. I think that's where the lagging pace in the last couple of weeks has come from.
The Nikki/Jessica story has so much potential - but since DL came back, hardly anything has happened at all there. Additionally, Hiro not appearing back in the diner needs to be explained FAST. We already know he survives well into the future, so it seems hardly excusable that he wouldn't come back at some point in the future to say "hey, I'm fine" to Ando - unless Ando has some destiny that needs to be fulfilled without Hiro there (though if Hiro went into the past, there's really no way he could know that, is there?) My head hurts.
I love that last episode.
Tonight's episode was excellent.
