I just never know if I see her as fake or not. I am quite undecided.
But that was a good answer, either way. Because it's valid.
Annnd I bet Obama is doodling over there.

That was amazing! And she looked great.

Posted: 2/21/08 at 11:21pmCameras do not do her justice. In person she is a knockout, one of the most beautiful women I have ever met. And there is nothing at all fake about her. She's real and she connects one-on-one, like you're the most important person in the world.

Posted: 2/21/08 at 11:21pmThis is the first time that I have like two candidates equally. Am I the only hoping for a Obama/Clinton ticket or Clinton/Obama ticket?

I've always seen her as dynamic and not as lackluster as the media describes her.
I hope this won't be a case where she is only really appreciated in retrospect.

This thread was a test of character for BroadwayWorld Obama supporters, to see if they could treat Senator Clinton with the politeness and respect Senator Obama does and she does him.
Liverpool, as usual, I honor you for your political passion, but not for your vindictive character.

i'm trying to answer as politely as possible so Clinton supporters cant say i "lack character"... but of course since i am going to have positive things to say about Obama, and some stern words for Hillary, they'll jump all over my back... but i will not name call and i will try and be respectful...
unfortunately that youtube clip was really her only shining moment, and it seems to me she was almost hinting at the fact that she knows its getting close to the end of the road for her campaign... i thought it was a very gracious way for her to end the night. and i thought it was a good moment myself too.
that being said, this was obama's night. he appeared more presidential than ever. senator clinton threw a few jabs his way and he knocked them out of the park without attacking her back, which really made me happy because i did not want to see him engage in that sort of debate. i loved what he said... silly politics... we're not watching the debates to see who can insult who, we're watching to hear what they have to say!! that was HIS shining moment. a great one. and i love how we responded to accusations that he just gives good speeches but hasnt accomplished anything... he rolled off a long list of accomplishments and the crowds kept cheering and cheering and cheering... i think even senator clinton was amused at that point. her face seemed to suggest "damn you're good!!".
i'm sorry to say senator clinton came off very desperate tonight. and i'm not saying that to be a jerk, i understand it must be frightening for her to have run this huge campaign and to see that its almost over... i get it. and i dont even blame her for alot of her setbacks. i blame whoever is running her campaign. someone seems to keep telling her that the only way to slow down obama is to hurl insults his way, but i really think its just backfiring on her.
her "xerox" line was the true low point, as evidenced by the amount of booing she received... but what really made me laugh in regards to that line was the fact that the line itself sounded incredibly scripted! by someone else... for her! too funny.
I was amazed at the discussions on CNN and MSNBC after the debate was over. everyone on CNN, C. Brown, Anderson, all the CNN Political analysts were saying that it was Obama's night and Hillary failed once again to connect with the american people.
I switched over to MSNBC and my least favorite person in the world, Chris Matthews, was saying the same thing... as were all of his political analysts.
Who knows how Texas and Ohio will go... I'm frustrated that the republicans have their candidate and we're still waiting for ours...

Posted: 2/22/08 at 8:56amIn an obviously unscientific poll on AOL, Obama has a 53/46 lead in Texas, and narrow 50/49 leads in both Ohio and Pennsylvania. For what it's worth, Clinton had narrow leads in both Ohio and Pennsylvania before the debate.

Posted: 2/22/08 at 9:27amWhat I see, as an outsider, is that the Democrats have two great candidates and whoever wins( I like Hillary better, but Obama is great, too) will unite the party against the common enemy. The Republicans on the other hand picked the least worse from their candidates, who, besides his politics, is a really old person ! I do not want to sound ageist(?), but really, is that the face Americans want to represent them for the next 4 years ? What connection can this man have with the younger generation's problems ?
