The reason you don't see biological women compete in men's sports is because they don't have any physical advantage over men. It is totally the opposite when it comes to biological men playing in women's sports. It is totally relevant to the discussion.

Actually, I have quite a nice life. Happily married for many years with three wonderful grown children. I have a successful  career and my wife is a medical Doctor, not fake one like Dr. Jill -lol. We travel the world and just got back from the British Isles and had a great time. Funny, I seem to remember you giving me advice where to stay in Las Vegas months ago in a thread. Try looking it up to refresh your memory, maybe you have lost it like Joe Biden. Amazing, that you would do that for a MAGA troll. I offer plenty of value to this website by contributing mostly of the "Broadway" board not the OT board. I add value just by adding a different voice to a 99.5% liberal board who can only tolerate people that think like them. It's rare, but Ciswomen do play against men in high school football. There are COUNTLESS coed sports leagues in the US.

Please note that Imane Khelif is a cisgender woman. She was born female, registered as a girl at birth, legally recognized as a woman, and identifies as a woman.

She is from a country that would not permit an openly gay Olympian, let alone an openly transgender one.

At no point have you admitted that the information presented was incorrect. Recognizing and admitting the truth is the first step. I appreciate that you are nice to transgender individuals, but that's a different thing than openly supporting trans rights and full trans acceptance. Things worth noting:

The boxer who quit the fight (Angela Carini of Italy) said her quitting wasn't political and that she was not passing judgment on Khelif's eligibility. She said the shot to her nose did something different to her than most hits she's ever taken. Boxing is brutal and violent so that makes perfect sense. 

Last year, Imane (along with Taiwan's Lin Yu-ting) faced a ruling by the International Boxing Association that they (despite being biological women) had "advantages" of a genetic/biological nature, leading to a decision not to let them fight.

U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps, celebrated as the greatest swimmer of all time, has a genetic condition where his body produces half of the lactic acid of a normal biological man. For this biological quirk (along with his hyper-mobility) he is lauded. 

Algerian sports officials and other Algerian athletes have spoken in Imane's defense, including national team soccer player Ismaël Bennacer who said Khelif is "suffering a wave of unjustified hatred." People, including the mis-informed OP contributes to the violence against trans people leading to their daily murder rates worldwide. Imane Khelif is a WOMAN.

The Olympics do not recognize IBA or its rulings and carried out their own set of testing standards which every athlete you see competing had to pass.

Imane also fought at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, where she was beaten in the quarterfinals by Irish boxer Kellie Harrington, another biological woman.

For the weirdos who obsess over genitals, this person was born with a vagina. Meaning that by their weird rules where they want to check in kids' pants before they compete, Imane would be deemed "girl athlete." Imane Khelif is a WOMAN.

Meanwhile, Katie Ledecky today became the most decorated women's swimmer ever by pulling in a silver medal, after yesterday continuing her long streak of dominating everyone in the world in the 1500, where she holds the top TWENTY best times. Ever. And people on the internet spent the day calling her a man. People being insecure men because a woman could NEVER be that fast...right? 

This should be a non issue, but the OP, the Post (right wing rag that exists to create drama and encourage violence), Elon, Jake Paul (ew) and everyone's least favorite bigoted uncle JK Rowling are latching onto it because they want to continue to push the deadly narrative against trans folks via any possible means. Even in a case where the person they're demonizing isn't trans in the first place. If she as a cis woman has more testosterone than other cis women athletes, well, that's not all that uncommon. This op admitted they didn't vote for Clinton, Obama, or Biden, three true leaders. Just for the record. Ms. Ross sent me a PM awhile ago where she alleged "Jay Lerner-Z" threated to kill her and was banned for life. All of this was a lie, I got it confirmed by moderators and obviously "Jay Lerner-Z" is still posting. Ms. Ross was also suspended for quite awhile, I assume 30 days but that really does not matter. In PM, she lied once again and said took PMs from people, she does not accept any and it was not just me being blocked -lol. After this post, she may accept them to try and say I lied - ha ha. In addition, she said she would never respond to anything I ever posted again -lol. In the PM she called me horrible names and made false accusations, I was stunned. I can provide proof because I saved the PM if anybody cares. The PM I mentioned was titled "Don't".

So tennis greats Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova and Boris Becker who have said this is wrong are contributing to violence of trans people -ok. Nice try Ms. Ross. I mentioned that encounter because after a very long travel day the last thing we needed was luggage to be lost. The American Airlines attendant did excellent job tracking down the bags since the baggage claim numbers were not showing up on the computer. We appreciated her effort with her supervisor to track down our bags. I only mentioned she was "trans" because of a comment that "Kdogg" made earlier in this thread. Basically, the point was that not everyone who is not very liberal treat trans people badly. I am sure you will try and twist these comments into something bad but that is who you are.

You are a pompous old man who worships at the altar of the Democratic party. You and your fellow liberals preach diversity in politics and life but have utter disdain for diversity of opinion which you prove on a consistent basis on this board. There was not one word of hatred towards trans people uttered by me and that includes this thread although you tried your best to make it seem that way. I never said one word that was negative about the actual boxer in the controversy. I said in this thread which I assume you chose to ignore, the issue is against the governing bodies of sports. Countless times I have stated in this thread and others, trans people should be allowed to compete in sports. Myself and others believe they need to compete against other trans athletes or have an "open" category where there are no regulations. I started this thread because boxing is a dangerous sport and if there is even a slim doubt about the gender of a boxer it could lead to a very bad outcome. I wish you all would read all the posts in the thread if you want to call me out on saying something. Read post #9. I said it was reported by Pat McAfee (ESPN) that Imane was transgender. He is a sports guy not some right wing nut job so I took his word. He made a mistake and in post #9, I said than this is a totally different issue. I then pivoted in this thread to the overall issue of fairness of a biological men competing against women in sports. That being said, please explain why Imane failed a gender identity test and has male chromosomes. 

There is no need for me to discuss any further. I have explained my position many times now. So let's review one last time. I think biological men competing against women in sports is basically cheating. The science has proven that biological men have physical advantage over women and to try to compare this to advantage Mike Phelps had physically is absurd IMO. Boxing is very dangerous sport and if a biological man ever fought a woman the danger IMO would be a lot worse. The reporting on Imane being transgender was incorrect and I will admit I trusted the reporting of ESPN analyst. I don't know about you but somebody who has failed a gender test makes me skeptical that they don't have physical advantage.

As usual, good point Kdogg.  This topic hits home to me because I love sports and have many friends whose daughters compete in athletics. I want competition to be fair. My own actions I think advocate acceptance and to be totally honest with you I don't have a clue what else I could do.

Imane fought in IBA sanctioned tournaments for years, not until she fought and beat a Russian Fighter did the IBA come foreword with this alleged failure of a "gender test". Let it be known that the IBA is ran by a Russian Oligarch that the IOC stopped recognizing them as a regulatory board some years ago because they're a shady organization to begin with. The IBA never said what specific test Imane failed and one person (who is also no longer with the IBA) claimed she had XY chromosomes. None of them have provided any evidence or documentation to support this. 

Imane is a woman fighting in her weight class at the Olympics and you'd rather believe and chase around this conspiracy theory than just accept that. 

Maybe we could actually try doing RESEARCH before you listen to some random ESPN announcer.

Aw, I love you bb but caring about America and human beings is something I will never regret. When a person creates a thread to offend, hurt, and peddle a false narrative, I will call them out. Every time. This person has contributed to this woman's horrible experience of verbal abuse and people threatening to have her entire family murdered. And yet, he refuses to admit he was wrong, issue an apology or ask the moderators to delete the thread due to his ego. Instead he blames it on an ESPN reporter, and just deflects over and over again as if that reporter created this thread?

OP, Trump, and Vance are all the same version of a person: Ignorant, cruel, delusional, and have a deep, deep hatred of women. The evidence is clear. At first, I questioned why the mods did not delete this thread. But, now I'm glad it will be here forever. It exposes a person who pretended to not be political, to a person who slowly started insulting our Joey Robinette, to a full MAGA agenda in a matter of months. People like this can never admit when they mess up. These people double and triple down even when there is tons of evidence to refute their claims, like this statement from the Boston Globe about Ms. Khelif .That is why character matters. The OP has none. The smart thing for him to do was apologize and then go away for awhile. But, as we've seen just like Trump and his other heroes, he never will. Straight white men who have never been held accountable for their actions are among the most terrifying people in existence. Their mantra is "I did nothing wrong" for a reason.

With that being said, there should never be such garbage on a website about the theater arts, one of life's greatest pleasures. No threads from the three posters that create division and hatred here will exist the next time I sign in. Poof, gone forever. What a beautiful thing to never think about these monsters again. Afterall, in the age of information, ignorance is a choice.
