Let's just say for a moment he didn't know about this (which I don't believe for a moment). In that case he's still guilty of creating an amoral work environment and not being able to manage his staff. Not great qualifications for running the country IMO.
“I feel badly about the kids,” the person replied to Wildstein. “I guess.”
Besides, people with this sort if grammar should't be in a position of power. I can't bring myself to feel BAD about anyone involved being fired.

How did NJ look after Corzine?
No one could screw up foreign policy more than Obama. Obama makes Jimmy Carter seem like FOR in comparison

That's a super useful hypothetical, Roxy. Well done.

Posted: 1/9/14 at 12:44pmWhat time did someone say that on Fox News, Roxy? I hope you didn't hurt yourself running for a pen to write that down when whatever talking head you're quoting said that.

Posted: 1/9/14 at 12:44pmThe redacted emails weren't leaked. They were subpoenaed and released.

Posted: 1/9/14 at 12:56pmThe timing here is critical. The current NJ legislature is scheduled to terminate shortly, and it was that legislature's subpoena power that brought this to light. The incoming legislature, while still Dem, is decidedly more friendly to Christie, and may have let this scandal die if not for the recent revelations.

Posted: 1/9/14 at 12:56pmIt's really hard to believe he didn't know. To me, he seems to pride himself in being no-nonsense. The "traffic study" excuse is all nonsense.

According to the NYT, he called Bridget "stupid" and "deceitful".
Niiiiice.
Because she (allegedly) suddenly, spontaneously manifested those traits out of the clear, blue sky. He hadn't had cause to object to her stupidity or deceitfulness prior to this.
Or her stupidity and deceitfulness (alleged) were of daily, ongoing use to him. Until now.
Now he finds her (alleged) stupidity and deceitfulness very, very upsetting. He's sad.
Sad, sad, sad.

Verdict seems to be no resignation but he loses the presidential bid to a non-lunatic conservative like Paul Ryan.
and his message about Bridget seems to be: "I had no idea. Crazy beeyatch overstepped her authority and took it on herself to punish the Fort Lee mayor for something she only imagined him to do, since we never asked him and he never said no. At any rate, I fired her and I have the sadz because I trusted her and believed her when I texted her and asked DIDUDOTHIS and she texted back UCRAZEE? NUH-UH!"

Interesting. So, will he be content to play out his political career as the straight-talking, tell-it-like-is, Guv'nor of New Jersey?
And can he get a refund on that bariatric surgery, now that he doesn't need to slenderize for a Presidential run???

Posted: 1/9/14 at 3:08pmWe may be writing his obituary a little too soon, but he's term limited in NJ, and Fox 'News' won't be offering him a show, so I predict he'll become a regular on Morning Joe.

"Heck, the mere facts alone that I’ve been the Governor of New Jersey for four years now and have since become a leading member of the Republican Party should really let anyone know by now that I’m obviously a compassionate and forgiving person who treats everyone—regardless of their views —with decency and respect."

To Jersey
All Corzine did was bilk people out of life savings and cost employees their job. He did much more damage.

I was watching him talk about being so SAD last night and up talking with his wife. Know what went through my mind? Was he dealing with the situation like the Golden Girls...in the kitchen eating a pie, half gallon of ice cream, chocolates, donuts, etc
