Congrats! *secretly thinks back to not getting cast as Michael in Tick Tick Boom because he was too young*
The kids are loving the Hairspray soundtrack, I'm going to check the rating on the movie most of them haven't seen it.

Soap, how's church guy?
*also thinking back about the roles I didn't get because I was too young. at the time.*
*thinking about roles I couldn't get because I had no talent*
I find that hard to believe, DD. I prefer to think of it as "roles we didn't get because the director had no vision."
Always with the positive spin.
Congrats and good luck Linnie!
Hey soapy and DD.
Also, some directors don't know what the f**k they're doing, in addition to having no vision.
I personally believe everyone has some depth of creavity within them. Some of them just don't know how to cultivate it properly.
(Hello, all, by the way).

hiya WW and PM.
I hope that I can fulfill my own expectations as a director.
YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"LLL BEEEEE SWELL!
If you have a passion for it, you will be just fine. I've worked with two kinds of directors; the ones who have absolutely no vision thus making the overall production poor in value, and the ones who live and breathe the play they are directing, who go out of their way to ensure everyone is putting in as much as they can. The latter are the ones I revere most of all. They are fearless people who excel because they have an understanding of the text, and a relentless love for seeing it done correctly.

church guy is still awesome, although the date was like hanging out with a friend. . which is fine, it's less pressure that way.
PM! Where have you been hiding?
I'm gonna be an aunt and looks like I'll be having a nephew!!!!!!!
Yay!!
I'm so excited!!
PM - if I ever fall into that first category, you all have my full permission to come over and kick me in the @ss. Just saw a production of A Chorus Line that was so uninspired ... the director was playing Zach and he was reading his lines on stage.
I am extremely excited about directing my first show in the spring. Freaked out that it's approaching and the amount of work I have still do to, but excited. Well. Excited and scared.
Congrats Linnie!!!!!!
I have only been in two musicals ever - Joseph (chorus) and Godspell (I sung "learn your lessons well" and I have the worst voice ever...don't know what was wrong with that dude). But I have played a few different characters in plays!
Evening everyone!
I've been having an interesting week. My screenwriting class is now writing TV shows, so we've been watching nonstop episodes of Monk and taking notes on them. i'm actually really getting into the show.
Everyone seems to be having so much good news this week. Glad everything's going well.
DD, soon enough I'll be able to attest to how much ability you have as a director!!! :)
blah blah blah
blah
blah blah blah
WW, I've been sucked into the abyss that is known as "getting sh*t together for my classes". :)
DD - Ah, you have incentive to do a wonderful job as a director!
There's nothing worse when the director's in the show and THEY even aren't doing anything to salvage it (if it's in fact sinking). When I did Our Town, my director played Simon Stimson. It was a bit strange at first, seeing him play a drunk, waddling around onstage. But, he was amazing.

Totally F*CKed, Tink?
not quite....blah blah blah was there before SA lol
hiya stagey
How's my fairy fey this glorious evening?
Doing well. Waiting for Buzz to come home so we can figure out plans for the evening.
We're seeing Fiddler tomorrow! UNLV's doing it, so it shouldn't be too bad.
Neither one of us have seen it live. It should be fun!
We saw the Sweeney Todd: Student Edition a few weeks ago. It wasn't too bad. The judge sucked, and Antony was played by a flaming homo, but other than that, it was fun!
