I understand that she wants to set the record straight, but was anyone here going to read this book? I couldn't care less. I like music but I'm not OH MY GOD I LOVE MUSIC.

I've always loved Kelly and I'm going to buy her music because I like her music.

Mr. Davis is a very commercially successful businessman in music. Being "commercially" successful does not mean the same thing as "artistically" successful. He was/is only concerned with hits not with good music per se.

Whitney, Aretha, Carly, Dionne, Barry, Melissa, Santana, etc. made Arista much money; but how much of their work is really good artistically? Whitney was his wind-up doll; she sang what he told her to sing. She had an impressive voice and sang mediocre songs. Aretha went from brilliant work at Atlantic to homogenized bubblegum crap except for one great album, Who's Zoomin' Who?
Do you know what happens when you let Veal Prince Orloff sit in an oven too long?

He's the Arthur Laurents of pop music. Bitter queen.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal "I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello

Arista was the longtime home of Patti Smith, who was never a big-selling success. Just sayin...

I have absolutely no idea why people are remotely interested in his artistic differences or his sexuality.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali
