Just started watching season 1 on demand - I'm through the first seven episodes so far. I'm pretty impressed. The lead guy (Joe Hamm, right?) is SO good - and he reminds me of Humphrey Bogart. The whole cast, in fact, is excellent. The plotting reminds me of Sopranos - the season starts of innocently enough, but now, half way through the season, I can see the seeds they've been planting all the way through starting to grow...

I finished watching the first season on On Demand a few days ago and this has become one of my favorite shows. Can't wait for this Sunday.

I rented the first disc of the DVD set from Blockbuster yesterday and I really enjoyed those first three episodes. I hope to be able to rent and watch the rest of them before Sunday night.

Sorry - Jon...
I don't think I'll get through the rest of the season 1 by Sunday, but I should catch up by mid-week, so not too bad.
I can't say I like it better than Lost (I don't know that I'll ever be able to say I like ANY show better than Lost), but it is definitely quality TV.

He's got those "old movie star" good looks...
But he looks so DIFFERENT outside of the show.
Either way, that's a great-looking guy!

I've had so many people tell me to watch this show, so I finally bought Season One yesterday.
I obviously won't be caught up in time to watch the season premiere tonight, but I'm excited about starting Season One.

A little more than eight hours to go...... maybe catch a few with the on demand feature will help to pass the time?

first they made us like him alot, but his character is revealing more and more truly EVIL qualities. OK so we overlook the screwing around on his trophy wife with multiple partners (victims?) but then we find out he assumed his war buddies identity.
then we find out HE WAS RESPONSIBLE for his war buddies death? seems like they are pushing our acceptance level.

Chevstriss, I don't think they care about anyone liking Don. They're just presenting everything as is. Women are smoking and drinking when pregnant, people slap other people's children, there's sexism and sexual harassment around the office, racism, drunk driving, people in the closet, etc. It's just a snapshot of a time and a non-judgmental look at social mores. I enjoy the storylines and performances, but I think I love the slick style most of all! It's shot and lit and directed so beautifully...and the opening reminds me of a James Bond movie.

Wow--picking up season two in 1962 was an interesting choice. I can't wait to find out what happened with Peggy's baby. I guess Trudy Campbell must be the one with the fertility issues, as Pete can obviously, er, get the job done.
Was the woman who Sal was watching television with the switchboard operator who was crushing on him in season one? I wonder if it's a girlfriend or wife!

I think Joan is my favorite! Maybe the Xerox move was due to Peggy's behavior to Don's new secretary? Remember Peggy was warned that now that she has a door, there was a time when she didn't!

Yes, mominator. It was absolutely payback!
I do think that, for the most part, Peggy's motives were good. She's really loyal to Don and wanted to make sure his secretary looked out for him and realized how important discretion was. But part of it was also Peggy talking down to her because she COULD. 'I'm your superior now, get it?' It was Joan's way of taking her down a peg or two. I think it must have been a terribly difficult time to try and climb the corporate ladder as a young woman. She's ambitious and talented, but is constantly being reminded that she is "less than."
I love Paul's new beard. He really does look like Orson Welles now.

I also liked how it looks like Betty's last therapy session worked and Don is home more...so I am guessing she is wearing the pants....and I think that his "problem" in the hotel room was not the first time it happened
