That's arena code for "Her Fault! Not OURS!" I don't think it would cost $100 from the arena to Buckhead. I've gone much much further on the outer perimeter in a cab from Flex Baths and Manifest4U and it didn't break $30 even with traffic.
I don't know why Reba was bitching, she's retired so where did SHE have to be in the morning? #jealousb-word. Also, the clips from the concert where people say she was drunk? Sorry sandd, TOTALLY DRUNK. Girlfriend is entirely too horrible an actor to fake that. And you don't have to defend her for being drunk. She was drunk. So what? People would lap up her guy-is-such-a-c-word vomitous if she ralphed it all over the premium seats.
Namo, I was really estimating the "time" and not the actual mileage. It took us a half hour just to go two streets from the arena parking lot, due to unorganized traffic flow. BTW, if I didn't have a bitchy friend with me and the concert got out earlier, I would have loved to have revisited Flex. I haven't been there in years.
I attended the Atlanta show on Wednesday, as well. I've seen Madonna at each Atlanta concert since The Virgin tour, but was considering skipping this one. However, some $44.00 tickets were available last month and once again, I took the plunge. Sightlines for these upstairs seats were actually good as Madonna made good use of extending the stage through the arena. I have to say, I was impressed with the show, and enjoyed it better than her last tour. Some of the stunts performed by her dancers / entourage were amazing. Madonna did a good job balancing the new Rebel Heart songs with her classics. Like Artman, I was disappointed that Madonna dropped the Dress You Up / Into the Groove / Lucky Star medley at our stop. Instead, we got "Secret' which she said she co-wrote here in Atlanta with Jermaine Dupri. The audience seemed pleased with Secret and willingly sang along. Agree that Madonna was jovial with her fans and bantered a good bit with them - even poking fun at the allegations that she was drunk at the Louisville show. We left after the main set at 1:00 AM to catch the last train on Marta, so (sadly) missed the encore - Holiday, so had to YouTube what I missed. All in all, it was a fun evening and well worth the investment.
Junglered, Secret wasn't done in place of the Dress You Up medley. She started doing an extra acoustic song during that portion of the concert. She changes it up per show. Some concerts have had either Like A Prayer, Don't Tell Me, Frozen, Who's That Girl as well as Secret. She has done the Dress You Up medley as well as the extra song. So I guess my point is, she didn't give us anything extra in its place. Glad you had a great time. Can you imagine the people who paid $400 or more, who were leaving at the 12:20-12:30 mark? Now that is some disappointment.
ArtMan, Thanks for letting me know about Secret NOT being an extra song. Hmmm... really wish we got Dress You Up / Into the Groove which are two of my favorites. Oh, well. Yes, unfortunate for those who had to leave early after spending a tidy sum on tickets. From past experience, I knew Madonna would be late, so we had a nice dinner first and didn't arrive at Philips until 8:45. However, the actual 10:50 start time really was disrespectful to her fans. Our entire group thought the DJ who was on from 9:00 - 10ish wasn't very good and did a poor job of tailoring the 'music' played to Madonna's audience. Still, the entertainment value of the show for my $44 (+ fees!) investment was worth it for me.
Wow, wasn't that DJ horrible? I thought the piped in music before the DJ was so much better. Did you buy any of that overpriced merchandise? My friend bought a bootleg t shirt for $20 outside of the Arena. After he bought it he realized the Atlanta date wasn't even listed on the shirt.
ArtMan - Agree that the DJ was terrible and that the 70's disco they piped in beforehand was a much better choice. No, I did not purchase any RebelMerchandise. Sorry about your friend's shirt missing the Atlanta date - it's now an instant conversation starter that can go 'deeper and deeper'. :)

"Lol no way in hell was she drunk, the critics from that area clearly said she wasn't drunk, it was 3 twitter uses who tweeted she was drunk and TMZ ran with it. She was just talking silly and joking about. No performer doing a concert with that many moving parts will be drunk, least of all miss control freak Madonna'
artman she pretends to do shots at every concert, it's part of the choreography in the gypsy section. And Namo if you honestly think she was drunk you are a bigger idiot than I thought. Her silly banter that night was no different to any other show she's doing where she is having fun and talking about silly stuff. I guess she was drunk for the whole tour.
Namo it must be killing you the tour itskes has had the best reviews in 2 decades and is making plenty of money in Arena's.
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna
It's not killing me. Nor is it surprising to me that you find new superlatives every time she farts. "Critics and fans are saying it's her best fart in some time!". I don't care. I wish you trusted all these things you claim to believe about her enough that you didn't have to defend her every move and misstep. So she's making people wait and wait and wait. Why do you make excuses for that? Maybe when she finally gets on, she's putting on the best show in decades since the last best show in decades. But she still makes them wait and wait and wait. Both things can be true.
Also, she is not a good enough actor or unselfconscious enough to "play" drunk like she does in those clips. It's okay though, Rocco has rejected her. She can FINALLY get some of that Garland gravitas.
It would probably change every night. But it's going to be a really fun show so you should just shut the hell up and feel lucky to even be in the theater where it might happen that night.
It's probably her best tour after Blonde Ambition in my opinion.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
Namo (again) I said that I don't know why she is suddenly going on so late for this final US leg of the tour but ( again) you skip over that.
And let's be honest, you predicted (again) the tour would flop and (again) was not selling and (again) would not be well recieved. You ( again) tell me not to defend her yet (again) are here in a flash the moment something negative about her is posted. All I said was she was not drunk and you have criticised her for been cold on stage. Well now she is letting her hair done in EVERY venue and having fun you believe the silly rumour that she was drunk. So (again) your predictability is showing in spades.
Say at what you will (again) but the fact is the tour is a success, probably her best since Blond Ambittion, yes she is going on too late but note she is NOT due on at 8 she is due on at 9.30 PM so is starting an hour late ( which she should not be doing). You are never here posting when she has done something great or achieved something, you are here for National Enquirer and TMZ headlines. That to me is the biggest giggle.
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna
