I know i've asked this before and but I don't recall the answer:

WHO, exactly, are the mods on this board, aside from Rob?

And considering threads like this have been appearing consistently (or threads turn into threads this like, just as frequently): how the hell can anyone who moderates or administrates this board believe there isn't a major issue?

Do the mods only see what they are directed to see by users? Do they even read this board at all?

These are legitimate questions about how this place is operated and I don't think they have ever been sufficiently answered.

TheatreDiva just posted on the Fenchurch Collective thread but I'm not sure how: On my computer, it seems to have been locked, with no Reply button, and all the Master Bates posts seem to have been deleted.

Can anyone else see a Reply button on that thread?

Original topic: Just block and ignore. There is SO much energy wasted on these trolls. It has become all-encompassing. This subject takes over every thread. It's impossible to have a decent discussion on here anymore. It is absolutely destroying the nature of the board. That's exactly what a troll wants. EVERYONE just has to block and ignore completely. And if people refuse and keep engaging the idiots, it's time to start blocking THEM. Otherwise, we just have more of the same.

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

Hmmmmmm, it seems to have been locked right after I posted because I don't have a reply button now either.



And we still haven't received an answer as to why Master Bates seems to be unblockable.



AND it seems my last eye rolling post has been deleted as well.


Someone is going to have to prove to me that Master Bates is NOT a troll mod, at this point.

Um, just to bring a little bit of reality to this: it's a free site. None of us have to pay a membership fee to be here. The main focus is Broadway, and not this Off-Topic board - it's a playground we all get to enjoy beyond the primary focus of Rob's site.

I'm sure Rob would respond if he was aware that there were so many questions, but I kind of doubt he just reads all of these threads. (and who can blame him?)

I'm late to this thread, but I just read every single post, and I couldn't agree more with the question about how certain peoples' posts are virtually ignored while I've watched multiple posts of mine get deleted just because. They weren't abusive or anything; and they just disappeared.

And while we're at it, should we mention After Eight and N2N Nate or is that a discussion for another day...?

How?? All the drama brings more hits on the site. More hits, bring more advertising dollars. This message board is a business. Many visit for the Broadway info, but many visit and stay for the fighting and insults. You cannot say, that at times, you aren't entertained, by what goes on here.

Nah, I don't buy that. This site doesn't rely on the small pool of people who frequent the message boards. The likes of suestorm etc. drive away any visitors who might pop their heads in, I imagine.

Jay, just look at the views of this thread alone. Sure there are over a hundred posts, but that is really duplicate and triple responses from a single poster. There are over 6,000 that are reading it for whatever the reason. Many of the one liners on here are better than anything you will hear on a network sitcom. Let's put it this way, the drama isn't hurting Broadwayworld business.

You'd be surprised what some people read. Hell, I've even seen people who like to hate read some forums and decide to bring the drama elsewhere to bash whatever they don't like about whatever they read. It is pathetic, but it happens. At least here you can read everything, but you have to have an account to post. I've seen places where you don't have to register, so people decide to be extra mean and nasty because they are under an anonymous "guest" name.
