"There's this one Value City (I think) commercial where this lady's two kids are dragging her out of the store kicking and crying that she didnt get her clothes with all the bargains. Just the shrill of that voice hurts."
I LOVE THAT COMMERCIAL! It always makes me laugh. That woman just perfectly depicts the bratty whiny child at the store. It cracks me up.
I switch channels on anything with David Spade. I absolutely detest him and think he's a foul human being.
I hate how WB referes to new episodes as "fresh". A "fresh" Everwood is next! Stay tuned for a "fresh" Gilmore Girls! It's really pathetic.
I noticed the same thing just last week, when they were announcing a fresh "Gilmore Girls". I was like... "what the hell is this?"

I work at a TV station and actually have to screen a lot of this garbage (and I'm in Chicago Mister Matt and I SOOO hear you about the Jared spots).
My pet peeves are a lot of the longer direct response ads -- Smoke Away, Relacore, all of that garbage. I get mad that they are allowed to take advantage of people. "Lose weight while doing nothing but taking this pill -- oh wait, what's the fine print, eat a healthy diet and exercise?" What's the pill for?! "Stop smoking in an hour by taking this pill. What do you mean results may vary?"
It's annoying.
I just had to ressurect this thread:
Currently, the Vehix.com commercials that seem to be on every station and are being run constantly. Hello, over exposure, plus that annoying music track that accompanies it.
Also the cereal commercial that begins with that annoying woman saying, "Are you hungry?"
It's getting to a point where I don't want to turn the television on.

"More rich chocolatey Ovaltine, please!"
and the Olive Garden commercial with the "I'm so affably hip yet wise" voice-over and the gang of old friends re-uniting.
Oh, man, I love those Capital One commercials with David Spade.
Most annoying commercials are any that pop up on the channels my brother watches (Disney, Nickelodeon). There is this..ridiculous hair..coloring thing. Or something. And they have this...weird...song that goes with the commercial.
Wear it short, wear it long
It even looks good on your mom.
And this mom is like..rocking out with her daughter to some cheesy pop music. Blegh.
Sorry, but I'm gonna say the FUNNIEST commercial I've seen. It was for Disney Cruise Lines and this girl is in the elevator full of people with her mother and her baby brother, who is in a stroller. And the girl goes into the full-blast anecdote about their time on the cruise, and then says something on the lines referring to her brother, calling him "the family's little mistake". HILARIOUS.
The Febreze "It's that fresh" commercials. It was bad enough when it had people getting orgasms from sniffing their carpets and couches. But the latest one, where the boy grabs his dad's boxers from the laundry basket and sticks them on his head, is just disturbing.
I hate those Capital One commercials because I can't tolerate David Spade. Maybe if, just once, for just a brief moment, he could be something other than that same character he's been doing for years.
I really hate any car commercial because they show the one about twenty times every hour.
And what happened with the Aspircream commercial? They suddenly changed the jingle from "You bet your sweet aspircream" to "You bet, if it's aspircream." Guess the senior citizens who use it didn't care for the play on words. I have to say, I surprised when I first heard it. It seemed a bit daring given that I don't think anyone under 50 uses that product.
I hate that Daisy Sour Cream commercial. "A dollop, a dollop of Daisy." Awful!
'Ba da ba ba baa, I'm lovin' it!'
That jingle is hideous, plus the fact that a bunch of over-preened popstars are pushing the muck that is McDonalds food down the throats of their impressionable fans...annoying!
I Hated the old Daisy commercial with that "it starts with a spoon and a dollop..." but the new commercial has funky music and it actually almost sounds like Daphne Rubin-Vega is singing it lol I like it.
I haven't seen the new Daisy commercials...haven't seen the old ones lately either, so that's A-OK w/ me!
And yeah, those McDonald's commercials are terrible, Jez.
Oooh, and those Quizno's commercials w/ that freaky baby.
Ok, I gotta speak up for the Old Navy Christmas caroler commercials from last year. Old Navy's approach has always been to be a bit off-the-wall, eccentric and somewhat surreal with their advertising. You can't take them too seriously. I personally thought the caroler commercials were some of the most amusing, clever commercials I recall seeing. They were just so silly, I found them appealing. And as for Old Navy's advertising strategy, tell me, what other commercials do you remember from the last holiday season? I still remember the Performance Fleece commercials from 2 or 3 years ago, especially the one with Markus Schenkenberg on the ski lift.
I HATE the Quizno's commercials with that damn kid.
I do, however, love the Crayola Erasable Markers commercials with that little kid going "Mississippi is the hardest state to spell!..." ect. LOVE it.
I hate all the constipation/bloating commercials. They make me nauseous. And I also hate Old Navy commercials.

I can't really speak for TV commercials, but few things are more annoying than some of the repeated ads on Yankee game broadcasts. I've listened to most of the games since mid-May, and if I have to hear those Foxwoods "word association" ads again I might break something. Same goes for B&H Camera Store. I am never, ever patronizing those places as long as they run those ads. It's gotten to the point where I just turn off the radio every time the commercial breaks start, and try to turn it back on whenever I think the game is starting again.
Okay, not an annoying commercial, but one that makes me CRINGE!
That toenail fungus commercial w/ that cartoon fungus...didn't they even give him a name? Digger? I want to puke every single time I see it. Let me preface this by saying that I have an irrational fear of losing a fingernail or a toenail. I think it stems back to high school when I played field hockey, and I worried that I'd get a ball smashed into a finger or have my foot stomped by a cleat and lose a nail. *shudder* When that Digger critter lifts up the toenail like it's the hood of a car, I damn near lose it!

If I hear "Hi, my name is Earl" one more time, I'm going to scream. NBC has run these commercials so frequently that it looks like a desperate attempt to save a doomed sitcom before the first episode even airs. Based on the commercials alone, I would not watch this show.

I know, Bluemoon! I was actually going to give it a try when I first read about it several months ago, because I kind of like Jason Lee (well, at least in Almost Famous, so I would have given it at least one go) but damn! I swear I was watching something on NBC and they showed the commercial 3 times in ONE commercial break!
I hate that vacuum advert with the foppish British dandy:
"...only to find that the bags and filters were HOPELESSLY clogged...so I invented my own..."
*smack*
AFLAC!
Right now...the one for Pedia-sure with the kid going
"I don't like broccoli" "I don't like chicken"
I just want to smack her!
Maybe I'm just watching too much TLC where they show the same commericals over and over and over and over!
