There is such a thing as, "Anti-Mormonism". The Wikipedia article on the subject notes: "The FBI began tracking anti-Mormonism hate crimes in the United States in 2015 and have noted an increase in incidents over time (through 2019)." They cite this article as the source.
It also notes: "Opposition to Mormonism began before the first Latter Day Saint church was established in 1830 and continues to the present day."
Although there are LDS churches across the US, the majority of Mormons live in the state of Utah, where they make up 67.7% of the state's population.
I don't disagree with anything you wrote, ...just responding to your question.

You really have no idea do you? I am baffled about the alternative universe you live in. There are daily attacks on people who even dare to draw the prophet. Mass murders on editiorial staffs of newspapers and magazines who drew the prophet, people on social media are being hunted down and slaughtered for drawing the prophet or for "insulting" islam. Kids on islamic schools are being taught to hunt down anyone who insults islam. You absolutely have no idea about islam.
"Days after Samuel Paty, 47, showed his pupils the caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in a class on free speech, an 18-year-old assailant of Chechen origin stabbed him repeatedly and beheaded him outside his school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine near Paris."
"Muslim gunmen killed 12 people in the Paris offices of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in what its said was revenge for its cartoons."
"Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, head of the Islamic State in Iraq, offered $100,000 for artist Lars Vilks' murder. Al-Baghdadi also promised $50,000 for the killing of the editor-in-chief of the newspaper that printed Vilks' cartoon of he prophet Muhammad"
"Cartoonist with a bounty on his head for drawing the Prophet Muhammad as a dog died when a truck crashed into his car"
"Swedish cartoonist whose sketch of the Prophet Muhammad has angered Muslims says he's received more death threats since arrests were made this week."
"Turkish police detain 4 cartoonists over Prophet Muhammad caricature"
"Insults to Islam the reason behind Amsterdam terrorist attack
Jawed S., the 19-year-old man arrested for stabbing two American tourists at Amsterdam Central Sation on Friday, told the authorities that he committed the attack because people in the Netherlands insult Islam, the Public Prosecutor said on Monday afternoon, NU.nl reports. According to S., the Netherlands "often insults the prophet Mohamed, the Koran, Islam and Allah"
"Gunmen abduct and behead the editor in chief of Wifaq, a Sudanese newspaper, after he angered Islamists by publishing an article about the Prophet Muhammad."
"Salwan Momika was killed for insulting Islam in an apartment in Södertälje, Stockholm, on Wednesday evening, prosecutors told the BBC."
The list is endless.
Can you show me 1 example of a Christian student in a western country beheading a teacher over a Christian drawing? Can you show me 1 example of a Christian in a western country doing a mass shooting on muslims for criticizing Christianity?
And in general, are kids at Christian schools being taught that Muslims or homosexuals must die? No. And that the goal is taking over? No. And that it is forbidden to hang out with- or share food with non-christians? No. That wishing someone a happy feast day that is not their own religion's is worse than murder? No. All of this is the case on islamic schools. Integration is forbidden in islam. You really need to get your priorities straight.
Seb - You've taken this discussion way too far off its original topic.
Either open a new thread, or stick to the original topic, please.
Oh - NOBODY (or very few) appreciates posters who immediately "thumbs up" their own posts.

Yes you are right, let's get back on topic.
The fact remains that the US government has been hijacked by religous fundamentalists and Seb doesn't give a fck because they're white.

This problem is well documented and discussed - what do you mean 'imagine'. In Europe and UK, we censor these depictions on television (as in, actually censor using censor bars or scrambling) to avoid islamist attacks (so you will never, ever see this representation in public in the UK). In France, there have been beheadings in addition to the Charlie Hebdo attacks. In the UK, there have been incidents such as the one you mentioned yes. I'm not really sure what you're suggesting - are you aware about this particular blasphemous act? The fact that you ask 'how exactly would that work' I find extremely odd (genuinely if you're not aware of it please say so but it sounds like this is the first time you've ever heard of it from your reply).
Let's say we do exactly what you are suggesting, yes - you wear a shirt with the drawing exactly as you describe and walk down the streets of London or Paris. Do you think you would be safe? (you don't need to answer if this is the first time you've genuinely heard of this blasphemous act and associated issues because you may not be fully across these issues).

Yes this is a big, big problem. The Republican Party has been a theocratic fundamentalist party and for a very long time. I would be surprised if Seb does not recognise this and I would suggest he is hypocritical if he doesn't.

I think this is a bigger problem of the left in general, it's not that they are necessarily against the freedom of speech and expression, it's just that they do not realize at all where the true danger lies. They are completely unaware and this post is a good example of that.

It's absolutely a problem, religious influence has always been a source of trouble. That's why I am against certain standpoints of theirs (for example about transgenders) and only care about the side of the truth. The religious influence was a problem in the leftist government too. One should never hide behind it. But the marriage between the left and islam is where the true danger lies. That is a matter of life and death instead of just conservative values.

Perhaps you should run for elected office and school "the left" in the error of its ways.
Or perhaps submit an NYT op-ed column.
Your insights are wasting away on an off-topic board of an online theatre community.

My philosophy is starting in the places where the problems are the biggest and take it from there. Aside from that, I am here mostly for theatre related discussions, I just noticed some threads that needed some insights and truth.
The "religious" nuts controlling Trump also play with life or death. That's what bigotry leads to. Suicide. Gun laws. Gaybashing. This is a FAR more immediate threat to US safety.
Not to mention ignorant fools in charge of public health, and support of an actual genocide.

Daily Caller Opinion Column ‘Explicitly’ Calls for Violence
"The column, by editor at large Geoffrey Ingersoll, calls for “blood in the streets” in response to violence against conservatives."

I love how f*cking stupid conservatives are thinking it is EVER us doing these abhorrent acts. Since Dying Pedophile was elected in 2016, violent attacks against the lovely rainbow community have spiked, which I obviously don't have to tell most of you about. I remember the night he was elected there was a horrible hate crime against two gay men in Newark. He encouraged violence his entire first term, when he lost (Yeah MAGAts, he lost in 2020!), and of course now. Perhaps they should stop lying, leave us out of it, and deeply focus on killing each other?

Like shooting Charlie Kirk over his opinions?

I think these comments are stupid.
