In a piece that one of the morning news shows did on John, they showed a photo of him as a little boy, and he had a kinda early Beatles mop top look. Very cute.
Aw, it does sound cute.
Erin, I wonder if I'll ever get tired of looking at those Broadway Bares photos.
I'd like to start listening to the real Four Seasons. I don't have any of their recordings. Hmmm...
Aw, I'd love to see what JLY looked like as a kid. His penchant for neatness is charming. It reminds me of the BWW video for some reason; he was so meticulous about getting his tie done right, etc. (granted, it was a big night).
Gotta love Broadway Bares pics. :)
On John's MySpace someone mentioned that the One on One interview aired again recently. I wish I could have seen that, but I've never even heard of that show.

Aw, I'm a little mad I missed it again. I'm sure it'll air sometime again.
I'm especially partial to folky/rock/indie artists like Rufus Wainwright and Elliot Smith.
I love both of those guys, especially Rufus Wainwright! Actually, "Across the Universe" just finished up on iTunes, now "Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk" is starting. :)
And I agree Christine...I don't think I'll ever get tired of the Broadway Bares photos either. Will you look at Daniel's stomach?

John seems like a neat freak... not that that is a bad thing but it seems like it might be one of those things that unless you're a neat person would be a real source of conflict. His dressing room has to be neat or it drives him crazy and he is always so cleaned and pressed in appearance. His teeth are always so white... Seems like it might be a little OCD but it is kinda cute all at the same time.

Oh, man, the "Across the Universe" cover is amazing! I love the original track with the Beatles, but Rufus' is really good. I also really like "Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk." To think I started listening to him because I saw the movie Shrek!

My favorite Rufus song is Foolish Love. Love it, love it, love it!

Cameron Macintosh seems to have his finger in practically every musical theater pie in London.
So Wendy, do you think that some of the humor that is very specific to New Jersey, New York or American folks will translate to British audiences?

I have written once and was so thrilled with my reply - but I have noticed some of you have written more than once...I'm dying to write again - but was thinking he'd get annoyed that I was being greedy!!! ADVICE PLEASE!!!!
Did you read what John said on jersey gal's thread? he is not going to think you are greedy at all, just go ahead and write him.

Do you feel it will not be received too well over here then TennesseeTwang?
Actually, I have no idea. I just thought that the image of New York's neighbors to the West as having nothing but gritty, tough-talking, working class people forever doomed to living in an ugly industrial wasteland that is supposedly always in New York's shadow, was a stereotype that was too specific to America for Brits to understand.
Ever heard the running joke from the TV show Saturday Night Live?
"Where are you from?"
"Jersey."
"Really? Which exit?"
Then again, I'm sure there is something in the British experience that is the equivalent of the New York/New Jersey relationship.

I finally finished my letter to John last night. I had my mom drop it off at the post office today, I can't wait for a reply!
That's great! Today during Study Hall I wrote my letter and I'm going to mail it today. John is probably tired of writing to me. LOL!
Rachel, I love Rufus Wainright's Across the Universe (one of my favorite Beatles' songs).
Just curious, but were shows like Movin' Out or Rent well received in London or elsewhere?
John updated his blog today, after a week. I didn't realize that he'd been a radio announcer.
Wendy, re: writing John and the fan letters--I felt and was wondering the exact same thing! I'm very glad that JLY doesn't seem to mind fans writing more than once.... =)
Broadway on Broadway is coming up...is anyone here planning to go?

I don't think he's tired of you writing, I'm sure he loves to hear from fans.

I never knew that either.

I hope someone goes so they can give those of us who can't go a recap of events.

Hopefully I'll be able to go to Broadway on Broadway this year. I have a football game the night before and I hope it doesn't run too late (Marching band WOO!) However I'm quite ticked that my school got rid of getting us coach buses... now we have regular school buses... ew. End of rant.

I'm sad because tomorrow is my first day of school. I need to look at the pictures from Broadway Bares to make my self feel better
Meryl, I hope you get to go. People say that this is sometimes broadcast, so I'm keeping fingers crossed that somehow I'd be able to see it. :)
Erin, sorry about school. I went to summer session, but after 3 weeks off...I'm not used to it being back quite yet, either.

I'm not ready for school, either. But the sooner I start, the sooner it's summer again.
Joining in the rant of school starting...
I start back up tomorrow...only one more year...then I get to go to grad school and bitch all over again!!
*bump*
Elle, from the sounds of your post on the main board...John was back in last night?

Hey all! I got back from my first day of school about an hour ago. It was okay bit I liked vacation better.
Yes, Alejandra, he was! My friend called me during "Cry for Me" (so I could hear Dominic - I love his voice), and then "Fallen Angel" through the end of the show. JLY sounded absolutely perfect - I can't believe it was only his first show back.
My friend was going to put me on the phone with him, but I chickened out :).
But yeah, he's back!

elphie, I love your avatar.
I went through JLY's blog last night. Almost all of it, I think. And I watched the Person of the Week video on him, too.
