I hope next week sets things straight about Peter Pan. I wasn't pleased at all with the whole "shadow who kidnaps children" storyline
"All our dreams can come true -- if we have the courage to pursue them." -- Walt Disney
We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
This was the best episode in a long time. It was very well-written and had great acting. So, it appears that Neverland is actually a very sad place. I was surprised the children there cry about their parents because in all of the versions of 'Peter Pan' that I have seen, the Lost Boys never knew what a mother was until Wendy came along.
I thought Demon Shadow Pan was the most daring choice the creators have made yet...considering how beloved the Disney version of Peter Pan is. I'll be very interested in seeing how it plays out. After all, Bey (Bay?) needs to travel several thousand miles and a hundred or so years to get to meeting Emma.
I too also loved the fact that they made Peter a Shade of some sort, it kind of makes sense for this world. When Wendy said that he didn't her, he wanted boys...My jaw dropped.
I want to punt Tamara in the Cunt.
"I think lying to children is really important, it sets them off on the right track" -Sherie Rene Scott-
just to clarify only because there's so much hate for Tamara on all these websites I go to... is it Tamara the character or the portrayal of the character or what? I actually like Tamara and she makes a pretty good villain... and i have no problems with the acting or portrayal... i just don't get all the hate for her
and I like Ethan Embry... but dude needs to stop making his eyes so huge every other scene!
I LOVED THIS EPISODE. I've loved Peter Pan since I was a child. It was the first musical I ever saw. I love the changes they made and I'm super excited for next week. How will Bae get out of Neverland and how evil is Hook? He's always been on the fence with me, about if he's good or evil. I'm not surprised they changed up the Peter Pan story, as they've done it to every other story character.
I'm glad they've dropped off the Frankenstein stuff. I didn't really get the inclusion.
I find this part of the press release from ABC interesting: "Meanwhile, back in Neverland of the past, Hook discovers his connection to a young Bae after he rescues him from the sea and soon realizes that the Lost Boys are in hot pursuit of the boy..." Considering that Hook loved Milah, Bae's mother, maybe he'll be protecting the boy from Lost Boys? Also I'm wondering if perhaps that "shade" wasn't Peter, but one of the lost boys? And Straight On Till Morning ABC PRess Release
Count me in as super excited for this dark twist on Peter Pan. I think it's way more fun to have a little subversion of these well-known tales. Bae totally can't be dead, either; he's just in a different land! That's what the magic beans do!
