From the AP report:

Hilton, who is openly gay, said in interview with The Associated Press that he called will.i.am a "faggot," a gay slur, inside the club after the musician told the blogger not to write about his band on his Web site.

"He was like 'You need to respect me.' He was in my face. He was obviously trying to intimidate me and scare me," Hilton said. "I was like 'I don't need to respect you. I don't respect you and I did say this, and I knew that it would be the worst thing I could possibly say to him because he was acting the way he was. I said 'You know what, I don't respect you and you're gay and stop being such a faggot.'"

Well, whoever was responsible will probably face misdemeanor assault charges (and rightly so). Kinda like the kid who finally stands up to the bully and clocks him still gets detention.

All I'll say is that; sure he's a bitchy queen who had it coming...but...

actually, no...thats it.



(Have to admit though, Will.I.Am's statements sure seem a lot like doing damage control, the speed he got them out and the whole 'I was cool, calm and collected whilst Perez was a raving madman' thing doesn't seem very likely.)

I always have to giggle when someone feigns shock over being physically assaulted over something they said. The whole "I can say whatever I want, but that doesn't give anyone the right to hit me" thing is so pathetically naive. It may not be legal or socially acceptable for someone to hit you for what you say (though I'd argue it could be justified), but it doesn't mean it won't happen. Nor does it mean that their actions were any more despicable or immoral than your own.

Mister Matt is exactly right. While I do not believe in blaming the victim, Perez looks like the playground bully who got punched in the face by the school geek and then starts crying and says, "look what he did to me."

Plus, Perez got all histrionic and turned nelly queen after it happened, which will garner him alot of sympathy with governing bodies. NOT! It isn't right, but it is what happens. There is little to no sympathy for gay men as it is, much less when you nelly out.

This reminds me of when I was a kid on long car trips. I would do the annoying "I'm not touching you! I'm not touching you! I'm not touching you!" thing to my older brother. He would punch me in the arm. I'd cry out, "Mom, he hit me and I didn't even touch him!" And Mom would say, "Well, you deserved it."

Don't get me wrong - I'm completely against violence... However, I'm watching Perez Hilton's video right now of what happened. . . I don't feel sympathy for him considering how abrasive he always is and that he could have peacefully talked to Will.I.Am that night but he didn't. Of course, Will.i.am. and anything BEP who did this . . needs to lay off the alcohol or take some chill pills. ... and Twitter, Really?

Also - does Perez's video statement remind anyone of that Chris Crocker persona?
