"No one's standing out. There isn't even a bad guy, like Santino. There are just a few whiners and Suede."
I agree. Santino did have a mean streak, but he was also talented and really entertaining. One of my all-time faves. Season two was excellent.

To be honest, I'm almost more intrigued than scared of what's going to happen on Lifetime. My problem with this season is the caliber of the designers and the fact that the challenges seem... well, rehashed and tired. The former won't necessarily be any worse with Lifetime, and the latter might actually be mitigated under the influence of a new parent company. (I definitely won't miss the NBC tie-ins.)
The biggest thing Bravo has going for it, at this point, is the Magical Elves production team, and I don't really see that they're that much of an asset at this point, actually. They set the PR tone season one and have done a great job of maintaining the structure and what the show emphasizes, but with this many seasons under their belt, I don't know that shifting the tone a little couldn't be interesting.

Daniel and Wes had an adorable interview on the NY Post today, they're actually very cute together!

Did anyone watch last night?
I thought the challenge sounded ridiculous when they announced it, but it got some great work out of the designers. Leanne made a great outfit and deserved the win. I liked what Jerell, Korto, and Terri did as well.
I thought Keith deserved to go home, but all the bottom three were pretty bad (though I did like the bits of glass Blayne used on his design).

I agree that the challenge was pretty ridiculous-sounding, but in the end I was very impressed with the level of design it sort of yanked out of them. All the top three had great designs, although Leanne clearly deserved the win.
I definitely thought Keith's design was weakest (not to mention it was just time for him to go), but I was actually surprised that Kenley's wasn't in the bottom three. I like her and would be astounded if she didn't make it to Bryant Park, but that outfit was not cute. Although, looking at the actual bottom three, I'd be hard-pressed to pick one of them for Kenley to replace. Hmm.

Both Daniel and Keith seemed to have massive egos and senses of entitlement but not the skill to back it up, although I think I feel a little sorrier for Keith. Even though a lot of people on another site have been saying Salt Lake City's not as repressive as it's cracked up to be, it has to be difficult growing up gay in an environment so identified with a specific faith.

Keith's douchebagginess was getting to be a bit much, and not as talented as he thought he was. Being taken down a peg could actually help him in the long run.
I loved that blonde's reaction to his "you should see my other stuff" comment during her critique. He should've gone home for not being able to take criticism.

It was so obvious from the first moments of the show that Keith was going home. They gave so much airtime to him being a douche.
It's like an Agatha Christie story: you know who the first victim is going to be because they're so awful, you can't wait for them to bite it.

Wow-I was immensely impressed last night. Almost every single designer showed that he/she is extremely talented. Unbelievable. With the exception of the two bottom designs, I was in love with all of them. I'm still in wonder at how they all pulled it out so beautifully.
Not only were the designs attractive and au courant, the craftsmanship blew me away. What those folks did with the materials available showed their high level of skill.
And thanks God the judges agreed!

There was some good stuff. I wouldn't have been able to choose between Korto and Leanne. Both amazing.
And I loved seeing Laura Bennett again! She was my favorite from that season.

LOVE Laura Bennett. I'm still bitter about the whole Jeffrey ordeal.
I liked Korto's a lot more than I thought I was going to, but it was quite similar to her past designs (ie the first challenge) in terms of sillouhette. Leanne's was a fresh new take (relatively speaking).

Posted: 8/28/08 at 12:28pmMy 2 faves were Leanne and Jerrell's designs. Kortos looked uncomfortable, like it would be hard to put your arms down. Although it was pretty.

Posted: 8/28/08 at 1:02pmI thought last night was all about Kortos Jacket and Leanne's outfit. Though I usually like Jerrell's design's, his outfit was not cute to me at all....

Yes...Keith's demise was clear from by the first commercial. The biggest drama and face time either wins or loses the challenge.
What killed me was how he was going to tone it down for the judges (read "dumb it down") and make something simple and impeccable...but what he sent down was NEITHER! Then he insulted Laura! Douche....bag.

Love Laura too.
Saw her outside "The Little Dog Laughed" in January 2007...she was with her husband as well as Patricia Heaton and her hubby.
Laura was exactly as on TV...tall, sleek, elegant, while Ms. Heaton just looked pinched and miserable.

I didn't care for Laura. Her personality was a stinker. I liked the clothes she wore better than the clothes she designed for the show.
I really don't like Jerell. Blayne has no chance of winning this competition at all, and neither does Stella.
Right now, I can see Korto and Kenley in the top 3, although honestly, I'm not that impressed with either of them. I do like Leanne, personality-wise. I hope she makes it to the top 3.

Come on... hasn't Korto already made that dress three times? I hated it.
I love PR but I can't help but feel it's officially jumped the shark. I can't even be bothered to sit through full episodes, I just do other stuff until they go down the runway. I have a feeling they're sabotaging it before Lifetime.

LOVED Laura Bennett.
I thought Korto's coat was gorgeous. It was my favorite design the other night.

Roninjoey...I agree. WIth the exception of last week's challenge, the season basically blows.
