I live in Seattle and a good friend knows Ben. He says he’s one of the nicest, kindest people he’s met. Of course I don’t know how this all plays out, but I don’t see Ben as the martyr type. I think he’s finding it harder to eliminate people than he thought it would be.
I also don’t like that the queens on the show and online have been saying he’s done nothing since Drag Race. He’s still very active in Seattle, always creating new shows. I don’t think he’s interested in international stardom like most of them are.
That clip is hilarious, Kad, and actually makes me like Thorgy more that she can poke fun at herself.
And I agree, Mildred. I don't think Ben was ever wanting to "explode" like the rest of them, and I think he's content where he is, so maybe he doesn't feel the need to win and go on some international tour, but we all love him, and he's obviously the top favorite. Maybe for selfish reasons, I don't want him to go home because, like Ross said, I look forward to seeing what he does every week.
Does anyone else wish we got more work room time? Like I kind of miss the old days where it was kind of "Project Runway" -ish and RuPaul would walk through and comment on what the girls were doing, etc.
Milk being “safe” last week made no sense. I had to listen to the track carefully to recall the diva she was supposed to be impersonating. It was such an atrocious performance devoid of anything that makes drag an art form. Hope she leaves soon.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
It’s ridiculous that Chi Chi was in the bottom 3 instead of Milk. Not only was Milk’s Celine nothing like her, the runway look had nothing to do with the original challenge she was supposed to improve upon. I am kind of hoping they make her safe for a couple more challenges so she can have a huge meltdown in front of the judges and show her true colors.
Mildred Plotka said: "the runway look had nothing to do with the original challenge she was supposed to improve upon."
What are you talking about? The original runway was "Crazy, Sexy, Cool" and Milk in season 6 chose to do the "sexy" interpretation because the judges had asked her to do pure glam. Whether you like it or not, it was completely in line with the original runway.
Meanwhile, Chi Chi's neon runway was HORRIBLE, and I'm surprised the judges didn't read her even more for how Halloween costume it looked. I mean that wig...
I assure you there was no condescension in my post. I was simply responding to your claim that the runway wasn't in line with the original runway concept. If you interpret that as condescension, I apologize.
So glad to see Milk go. When Kennedy said she didn’t need to talk to them individually I knew Milk was toast. Her constant interrupting of Trixie when they were told that was a big improv no no was ridiculous. Though the looks Trixie made each time were priceless.
I think Ben intentionally threw the lip sync. Smart move. She said she wanted to show the judges a serious side, but I think she didn’t want to have to vote someone off again.
And my apologies Bjh. I misread the tone of your post. Thanks for the clarification. I’ve been a bit cranky lately.
So excited for Snatch Game. I hope nobody impersonates another Queen this time. Always roll my eyes when that happens.
Milk’s behavior on this most recent episode reached new levels of delusion, even by Drag Race standards. So full of herself, and without even a hint of the talent to back it up. She is a great nightclub presence, a handsome male model, and can wear the hell out of a beautifully made garment, but that’s it. Poor Trixie - although I’m sure she’s going to nail the Snatch Game, a challenge she sadly missed her first time around.
I continue to be blown away by how solid Dela is as a competitor this season. She has an air of Bianca about her, in the sense that her breezing through each week seems to point directly to the crown. She doesn’t need to win every lipsync to prove she’s got the makes to be the next All Star; it’s just in her DNA. And I say this all as a vocal superfan of all things Trixie Mattel. But I’m really impressed by what a fantastic group of queens this has turned out to be after assuming it would be a mixed bag of entertainment. Even if not every queen is great, the combination of the group dynamic and the individual strengths of each girl is making for a stellar season.

Those things are talents* too, Maury. It's a reality TV show, heavily edited for adding drama and character narratives, and on top of everything else - a DRAG show. Don't take it so seriously and enjoy the entertainment.
I think AS3is KILLING it. I wish Thorgy wasn't treated the way she was, and I'm bitter for her - but that's always been the show and it's a bit too late to expect anything to really change. Some queens will be productions' favorites and there's nothing we can do about it. I hope good queens don't refuse to appear on future All Stars seasons because of this, however.
* PS - I'd still drink Milk

Y'all... I think Kristin is on the Snatch Game panel based on this announcement.
There's only 7 girls, they need an 8th... Not to mention they spent an extensive portion of her episode of What's The Tee? talking about her Tammy Faye Bakker project.

I want her Galinda or nothing.

Fun episode last night, no real surprises bar the extra Snatch Game panelist. It just seems so obvious to me that BenDeLaCreme is by far the standout this season, an all-around all-star performer. It's odd that RuPaul isn't awarding her the ultimate win each week like she did for Alaska (perhaps she realized that was a mistake...).
Ben was head and shoulders above everyone else in Snatch Game. Spot-on impression and characterization of Lynde coupled with excellent jokes and genuinely funny ad-libbing. And now she's the first queen to win Snatch Game twice!
Barring some sort of colossal failure, how can she not take the crown?
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
Ben owned the Snatch Game. Shangela was funny and did a spot on Jennifer Lewis. The rest I thought were just plain awful.
I think they’re editing it to set up for a huge Trixie comeback. I thought she would excel at Snatch Game but that RuPaul was terrible. Shangela’s commentary last night was priceless.
I wasn't going to watch this season, because I thought the show had jumped the shark. But. Bendela. Loving this All Stars season because Bendela is bringing it. So tired of the non-talented preeners and whiners. The Paul Lynde impersonation was hysterical! Go Girl!
I also have a lot of empathy for Chi Chi. She has a very challenged background but was really trying. Maya Angelou was not a good choice for her at all.
The rumor has been that Ben wins again and chooses the returning queen who stays and who gets voice ted off. Someone said Ben keeps Morgan and votes himself off. But now people are saying this rumor was started by WOW to find a resdit poster who was spoiling the results week by week. Who knows though. There’s some shady, strange stuff that’s said in those Drag Race groups. Some of it ends up being true and some doesn’t.
WOW, the production company behind Drag Race, is going to war against leakers and is suing an anonymous account known as RealityTVLeaks for thousands of dollars. With WOW stepping up their crusade against leakers, people are now saying that the Dela elimination stuff was false T fed to catch one of the leakers.
The current theory is that what actually happens is that Dela wins a challenge and gets to bring back one Queen, and she chooses Morgan. Then, in a twist, Morgan gets to eliminate another Queen, and chooses Dela.
At this point, I don’t know what to believe, but I’m preparing myself to see Dela robbed in a major way. Because as it stands, if she doesn’t take home the crown, it’s criminal.
