Okay not All Stars related, but on Paramount Plus they have a new Ru special “Dragging the Classics: The Brady Bunch” that was just released. Bianca Del Rio as Carol, Shea as Marcia, Kylie Sonique as Jan, Kandy as Cindy, Nina West as Alice, and Ben de la Creme as Greg. With Barry Williams as Mike Brady and Peter and Bobby as Peter and Bobby. I had no idea this was a thing and it’s pretty wild.
Sorry to thread-jack… but can I just say how goddam sexy Jackie Cox is out of Drag?! I just stumbled across the 35 minute advertisement for Disney+ disguised as a “Pride Celebration Virtual Concert” that was released on YouTube a few days ago. Nina West hosted the D + ad but there were actually some really good performances. Jackie performed Agatha All Along from WandaVision and damn he looked good. Nina performed The Rainbow Connection with Kermit and Alex Newell slayed Poor Unfortunate Souls. But it still felt like a very long Ad for the app and not a sincere effort on Disney’s part l, especially with their problematic past record…
I really enjoyed this weeks episode and thrilled that Trinity finally got a win. She’s been a favorite of mine since season 6 and one of the most gorgeous queens to ever grace that stage.
No, onto Silky. I’ve made no secret about how much I dislike her and how I’ve never been able to rewatch season 11 because of her. But I will say, my opinion of her has changed. I’ll still never be able to rewatch that season but I appreciate her maturity since then and what she came to All-Stars to do. And in that respect, I feel like she won.
And speaking of winning, I actually think Trinity should have won the lip-sync but Ru just loves her some death drops and constant self-body slamming on the runway, so it was obvious who the winner would be.
The Drag Brady Bunch is really fun, a great way to spend 23 min.
They would have to have stunt Queen like Laganja go up against Trinity, I thought it was a photo finish with Langanja just pulling it out.
Honestly I would have sent Ginger home. I just don't think she is that funny, and those runway looks... and entrance look... I never felt like Ginger was a robbed Queen, but because everyone considers her competition, send her home I say.
Jan is a rich queen who has no identity of her own and just hands money to a designer in exchange for a look given to them from the theme list while wailing on a microphone.
I probably would have put Ginger in the bottom over Akeria and sent her home. She’s just not on the same level as these other queens. Yara had more to show, I think, and we’ve seen everything Ginger can do.
Def should have been Trinity. Jan didn’t sell me on Gaga. Felt forced.
And I agree. I’m still team Ginger. I saw her in Xanadu with Jinx and she was just damn hilarious so waiting for her to get her dues, but she’s not bringing it. But I think they gave her a pass cause Fergie is kind of the worst one.
I mean, Ginger’s taste level has always been extremely questionable. I haven’t really forgiven Ginger for her shady behavior on Season 7, she still strikes me as incredible phony and I don’t trust her as far as I could throw her. Ready for her to leave whenever.
I want Pandora to get her time to shine, the producers have done her dirty for way too long.
Trinity should have won again this week for sure. Jan was fine, but she's such a robot, I do not understand her appeal. The judges really seem to love Eureka. She's been in the top a bunch and I never understand why. Ginger is definitely letting me down this season, I hope she can step it up in the next couple of weeks.
Right now I would be good with a Trinity, Kylie, or Ra'Jah win. It's been a great season so far though, the queens are really killing it. I'm interested to see "the game within a game" nonsense.
