Okay let me rephrase it.
If this is not as bad as it is being portrayed (and now that I actually studied the weather maps more then just seeing them on the tv, it looks like it could really be bad) then people are gonna be ticked lol
But in all seriousness. I think NYC is gonna get hit :/ upstate might be spared somewhat if it moves away more but we could also get shot.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Wishing the best for all our BWW friends in South Jersey and along Sandy's path. I'm still hoping it will blow out to sea, but that seems pretty impossible.

But I find the the hyperbolic phrases from the weather people irritating: "a storm of historical proportions" is one thing (yeah, I get it) but a "a storm of biblical proportions"? (Really? 40 days and 40 nights?)

The only ironic bright side is that it will shut up the yammering political pundits for a week or so.

*sigh* I thought I was over and done with these kind of storms when I left Miami and moved back to NYC in May 2011. First Irene and now Sandy. *sigh*

Mandatory evacuations in NYC for those who live in Zone A.

We received official word from the office that, due to our location downtown and the shutdown of NYC transit, we will all work from home tomorrow (and until it's safe to return).

Supplies purchased. Pots of water filled and set aside. Am making sure all electronic equipment is charged... Wishing everyone safety in the storm.

Just returned from shopping. Batteries, bottled water, cheese, crackers, dried salami and a 1.75 liter bottle of Absolut. I am ready to hunker down!

People amaze me in my area. Some people have booked to stay at the Holiday Inn because they are anticipating losing power for a few days and can't deal with it. Well, what if the hotel loses power? I've seen that happen. It was in NYC on a normal day too. This is also to note that we haven't lost power yet at all.

My old office building is just across the street from Pier 11. I only worked there every few weeks, but I always thought about how close the water line was to street level there as I was heading in to work. Hope Sandy doesn't make life miserable for all my old coworkers these next few weeks.

I live in Jersey City too. There's a mandatory evac for low lying areas. Driving on all Jersey City roads banned after 2pm tommorow and schools closed Monday and Tuesday. Stay safe everyone!

Just saw the latest update on the weather channel. Looks like we're in for 36 hours of hurricane winds and record storm surge. My parents live in Wildwood...a barrier island south of Atlantic City. They got out but before they left the ocean was already coming over the boardwalk. And if you've ever been to Wildwood you know it has a very wide beach.
If you're in an area that was told to go you should go. And let's hope the forecasts are wrong.
