Yeah, you can watch Letterman on TWC channel 55 in NYC (if you have power/cable still). They're airing CBS' regular broadcasting.

David Letterman has like 25 people in the audience and Denzel Washington actually committed to his appearance.

I spent most of my day at a Neighbor's apartment, but a couple hours ago I decided to wait out the night from the comfort of my own apartment, even if I'm by myself. The power is still on here in Astoria, but according to con ed's map, there are several outages in my area. The lights were flickering a bit awhile ago. I'm betting on my power being out eventually, but I figure enjoy it while it lasts.

Sounds like the BWW crew is safe and sound, for the most part.

I'm hearing absolute horror stories from NYC. The subway, that building with the front blown off, the NYU hospital, a 60 home fire in LI....it goes on.

Glad all our peeps are ok but my heart goes out to those who have lost so much.

JFK and Newark have already reopened. LaGuardia should be online later today. MTA expects "some" subway reopenings before Saturday. Make sure you bring cab fare with you -- just in case. ConEd expects to have power restored to all of Manhattan by the end of the week.

I have tickets for DROOD tomorrow's matiness. Will I be able to get there?

They were comped so can't switch for another date.

Power never went out here in Forest Hills. Some trees down but the neigborhood came through it pretty well.

By all accounts (so far) shows in the theater district will be performing on Wednesday (no power outages). Definitely no subway service. I would call (or look online) and check on bus service. Otherwise, you may have to use a car service (it would be wise to reserve a car today, it may be too late to do it tomorrow).

I survived Sandy. No major damage or power loss to my neck of the woods. I was fortunate. Prayers are going out to my Tri-State neighbors who were not as fortunate. Looks like I, or anyone else for that matter will not be back to work anytime soon. All public trans is suspended. the highways/tunnels are closed and the subways are flooded, but we're ALIVE and we'll all get through this. Count your blessngs, cut your losses and forge ahead. God bless.

Of course, if you live in Forest Hills you may already have access to a car. If so, the Triborough Bridge is open and there is a parking garage on the same block as Studio 54.

Just found out my apartment will be without water for at least 7 days. Elevator service is down too. We still have electrical power however they are afraid it might be lost at anytime do to flooding.
I would bet anything the Breezy Point fire was caused by electrical shorts due to flooding! Feel so bad, Used to spend my childhood summers out there!

Hell's Kitchen is
aok. In fact, during my late afternoon stroll, the restaurants on 9th ave were mobbed. No newspapers, of course, but loads of tourists, natives strolling around, doing stuff. We are extremely grateful that our nabe is virtually untouched.

Oy Vey...Queens Midtown Tunnel is still closed. This poses a huge problem if not opened by rush hour tomorrow morning, the bridge with three names will be impossible to cross.

There were more than a few false alarms via Twitter that eventually crossed over to actual newscasts of the storm. Some of it came from a troll, who also just happens to be a Republican consultant for a NY congressional seat.

Buzzfeed did an excellent job calling shenanigans, got the account reported and it appears to be suspended. By morning, they publicized his identity.

Not true. JFK just now at 10 p.m. announced that they have reopened with limited service. Newark will do the same at 7 a.m. tomorrow. LaGuardia's runways are still totally flooded and no statement has been made as to when they will resume service.
