I'm OK with the dismissals. With Jaimie, I don't mind at all. Kameron, I thought, was robbed of another week. But then again, I think that's about how much longer Dominic will last anyway, so I'm not too upset. Lauren being in the bottom was a huge surprise to me.

I'm pulling for Neil or Sabra. All the way.

They used "A Wild, Wild Party" from Lippa's Wild Party for the Broadway dance.
But they edited it for time and it was weirdly cut in the beginning.

I thought the exact same thing , but this is def. the best broadway routine since Benji and Donyelle's last year! Pasha and Sabra were great!

Neil and Sabra are my favorites this season.

And holy crap that last dance had me so emotional. Wow. I'm still crying. That was really personal for me.

I just got home so I recorded the episode, but apparently I because of the bridge collapse that occured or whatever, Lacey and Neil's performance wasn't aired. Did anyone get to see it?

Which one? They did a Latin Jazz, which didn't go over so well with the judges. They said Neil was too classical for it. And they also did a contemperary choreographed by Mia Michaels, which had everyone in tears(the good kind). I think Nigel was even getting a little choked up.

ok. wow. 2 dances for each pair. let me say from the top that i believe lauren and danny should be the ones going home (i know danny won't, it'll be dominic instead... buy my opinion!!)

onto the dances..

danny and sara - argentine tango
alright, this was very good. probably the best i've ever seen danny. his moves were smooth, he was into the girl and he had character and poise. bravo. sara is just so versatile. she blows me away in every performance she does. she was my favorite girl of the night for the millionth week in a row.

dominic and lauren - krump
he was fine. she was not. that's all there was to it. they were never together and the routine didn't stand out to me at all. i have nothing to say about this.

neil and lacey - latin jazz
now, i really liked this routing and maria's choreography, but i completely agree with the judges about their connection to each other. lacey is trained to look out and has to break it whereas neil changes focus from her to the audience so often it seems disingenuous. they should both be completely concentrating on their partner and this would have been so sexy because they have the moves. lacey's constant "mugging" is what makes sara my favorite continuously. sara is always in it, lacey is always in us.

pasha and sabra - broadway
well, this was one of the more fun broadway routines from tyce. i liked it. it didn't wow me, i didn't think there was anything surprising in the choreography, it was exactly what i expected. well performed, but uninspired.

danny and sara - hip hop
this was a hot mess. sara once again was on fire, but danny was just completely holding her back. he put on this big grin to look like he was having fun, but it just didn't work for me at all. i couldn't stand watching him try this and felt bad for sara.

dominic and lauren - rumba
hot, hot, HOT!!! this is the second time dominic has done the rumba and he has this dance down pat. he blows me away with his sex appeal and how totally into the girl he is. lauren actually took it seriously and wasn't laughing the whole time. there were some beautiful moves thrown in and it was just gorgeous choreography.

neil and lacey - contemporary
there are no words. i extend all my gratitude to mia michaels for allowing us to experience her magic and i feel priveleged to have watched this routine. neil and lacey performed flawlessly. in contrast to their previous dance, they were the only people in that studio while this piece was performed. i'm tempted to even say they weren't there as they took on their characters to such a degree that i couldn't even see neil and lacey. there was no audience, no judges, just a child and her parent dancing in her dreams. it was exquisite.

pasha and sabra - quick step
sabra tackles it all and comes out victorious. i expected pasha to do well here obviously, but he really taught his partner well. my one gripe is that i was totally not in the mood to watch this dance after mia's contemporary. they should have let neil and lacey close the program. but it was good.

so, to reiterate, i would get rid of danny and lauren tonight. we'll have to see.

ilovemydictionary, i don't know what you were watching, but the judges did not in any way say that neil was too classical for the latin jazz. they said his shoulders were too high (as they have said in previous weeks) and that he wasn't into lacey enough. they talked about the "dirtiness" of the latin styles, which i guess you could contrue in the way you did, but i never got that he was "too classical" from all that.

darcey- great review! I would hate to see Danny go because technically he is the best dancer. However- he is not the best performer- I think Pasha wins that. Neill doesn't ever seem to have chemistry with his partner but he will probably stay another week. Admire the fact that Dominic has done well in the other forms of dance that a B boy would never do- just not a huge fan of his. I still love Lacey and Sabra! Sara is adorable but tonight I think she didn't show great flexibility. Lauren seemed to be losing her balance a lot. Just have not been a huge fan of hers and I think she should go this week. Sabra had to do 2 very ahtletic dances tonight and she did so with what looked like little effort. Lacey is just so fun to watch! Have to remember that last year she was too young to be on the show. Absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED Mia's choreography! She will probably be nominated for another Emmy for this one. Of course Billy Porter's voice certainly was perfect for this dance.

(Warning: fire up your flame throwers; the Mia Michaels number did nothing for me.)

Underwhelmed am I. This was the least impressive week of competition so far.

Sara & Danny: Well, this was a mismatch made in ... (Argentine tango) Sara underperformed in this number. I admire how far she has come and how much she has stretched herself, but she seemed a little too focused on getting this number right and lost the oomph she usually has. Danny was cool and sexy. (Hip hop): That performance by Danny was one of the weakest all season. This simply was not his style. Sara could have been great, but I think Shane Sparks had to dumb down his usual tough choreography to try and bring Danny up to speed.

Lauren & Dominic: (Krump): Well, Dominic lucked out drawing “krump.” This, indeed, was his number! Lauren was good, but could not hold a candle to Dominic. Let’s see what happens with the ... (Rumba): Dominic is a solid partner, and Lauren is a sexy dancer ... but this number was boring!

Lacey & Neil: (Latin jazz): Well, this certainly was not my favorite number of the season, despite how pretty Neil looks shirtless. I simply did not enjoy this choreography. I still think Neil’s technique is weak. He over prepares on turns and overextends his arms and lifts his shoulders. Nigel’s “dance school” performance comment summed up how I have felt about Neil all season. This was Lacey’s weakest performance, though I am not sure it is her fault. However, I do agree with the judges that the chemistry was not there for this pair. (Contemporary): I hate to criticize a number after an introduction like that, but an introduction like that sets a level of expectation, so ... I thought this number was weak compared to Mia’s other choreography and weakly performed. Perhaps my expectations were too high based on the intro, but I was decidedly unmoved by the choreography and the performance. (One of the great dance performances on television?!? What?!?) This should have been a better pairing, but I think they were not served well by their choreography. Instead, along with Sara and Danny, they are one of the two weakest couples for me tonight.

Sabra & Pasha: Now this is a pairing that I looked forward to seeing! (Broadway): At long last! A “Broadway” number to something other than Chicago or Hairspray! And what a number it was! Sabra and Pasha both performed at the highest level and worked very well together! (Quick step): Is there anything Sabra cannot do?!? She had character and style and worked her butt off to conquer a new style. She did luck out with Pasha as her partner. He was terrific as well. This was, by far, the couple of the night.

I got nothing from the Mia Michaels' number, and found this week to be quite mediocre, overall.

^For me, just about every week this season has been mediocre. Nigel hit it on the spot last night when he said that the choreographers were lowering their routines down to what the contestants were surely capable of. I'm excited to maybe see some real routines next week.

JohnBoy and DBillyP, I didn't get anything from that routine either. After everyone was going on and on about it, I wondered if I was watching the same thing. It all seemed very contrite.

I love Mia Michaels and LOVED the park bench routine last year, but agree that the "dad and daughter" routine wasnt all that, and wasnt so well danced, imo. The gushing made me like it even less....and I hate Mary Murphy (sorry, had to vent.)

Once again, Sabra comes out on top...if she doesnt win this whole thing, I will be VERY disappointed.

As the judges gushed about Mia's number last night, I thought, "Well, yeah, what else can they do without looking like *ssholes?"

I went back and watched the number again to see if I missed something. A second viewing simply emphasized that there wasn't much actual dancing and what was there wasn't well danced. I thought it was interesing that the judges commented on how Lacey and Neil threw technique out the window and just danced.

That is tough apd; America is a fickle beast. I think Sabra and Pasha are the safest based on their performances last night, and I think Neil and Lacey also will be safe because of Mia's number. That leaves Dominic and Danny, and Sara and Lauren. I think it will be Lauren, as Sara only has been in the bottom three once, and Danny. (I see from your earlier post that we actually agree on this!) I think Dominic and Sara will be the next to go after that, leaving the top four as Sabra, Lacey, Neil and Pasha.

But who the h*ll knows?!?

i have to say i agree with you, both about this week and next week. (though i can see danny and dominic being flip-flopped).

my co-worker seems to think that it will definitely be between sabra and lacey as the final 2 with sabra coming out on top. i'm not convinced of this yet though.

I get a sense that Lacey is the most popular dancer on the show. Not sure why, though. I've wanted Danny gone, since the beginning. Okay, so he has a remarkable center! He does nothing for me, and never has. His hip/hop was horrible! I'm not sure how the greatest dancer ever on the show could be so lousy at a dance style? Remember how Benji never got his props from the judges, yet could entertain in every genre? They seem to forget the number 1 point of watching someone dance. It's not for them to tell us their personal journey, it's to entertain.
