Happy Super Bowl Day!
We need Grossman to show up and take the time to find the receivers.
Hester must NOT bobble any returns.
Gould – 9 points.
Urlacher will direct the boys to make great plays and win the MVP.

Jeez!
Somebody is really into this!
G/d knows I am not. The Superbowl is a half hour away from where I live and they've blocked off so many streets.
That's all that's been on the news.
I can't believe we are already at 41 with the Super Bowls.

Brd I feel sorry for you. Not because you are rooting for the Bears, but because you are going party hopping in this weather. Dress warm!
Brd, I have no idea what you just said.
Sadly, I couldn't care less about this game. And I actually enjoy watching football. I only vaguely want the Colts to win because I'm from Seattle and I'm still mad at the Bears for beating the Seahawks.

What's a "super Bowl"? Is it for some kind of extreme cook-off or something?
I watch it, but just for the commercials
Brd - I'm here with ya! Although, we are routing for different teams.

Oh yeah! An Ithaca alum (where I go to school) won the first annual "Get your commercial to air during the Super Bowl" competition. So his commercial is gonna be on during the 4th quarter 2 minute warning. That's what I'm most excited for.

The only way the Bears can win the respect of the national sports media is to win by at least 20 points. Anything less - everyone will say that they just got lucky and the Colts are the better team and the Bears really didn't deserve to be in the Super Bowl and the 13-3 record during the season was a fluke, etc., etc., etc...
**Wanders in, thinking their might be a party...
Looks around and is wondering why there are only 3 guys and why they all look so depressed...
Wanders back out**
AHEM

Grossman did not show up.
Hester did his job.
Urlacher is awesome.
Bears lost!
Grossman....I don't even know what to say. I think Eli was glad to see someone screw up worse than him.
The Bears D just got chewed up. By the time the offense got on the field, I think they forgot what to do. As much as I was routing for the Colts, I really felt bad for the Bears.
Unfortunately, neither team really proved to be champions. Yeah, maybe it was all because of the rain, but both teams were making stupid moves/mistakes. It just happened that the Colts took better advantage of it all.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amen, MotorTink...the rain had an effect on both teams, but it was not a well-played game.

That had to have been the most boring Super Bowl I've ever watched...even the commercials were fairly bad!
I thought the commercials were more entertaining than most superbowls. A lot of them got a laugh out of me, but none really stuck out as absolutely hilarious. And how you can call that first quarter boring? The end of the game might have been a bit boring, but the start was a lot of fun to watch.
I hated the commercials this year!
(Except for Dave and Oprah.....that one was funny. But it wasn't even a commercial for any products.)

Okay, the first quarter was fun, although it made me question those being the two best teams in football this year. As for the commercials, the only one I really liked was the Blockbuster one with the rabbit, guinea pig and the mouse.

Bears defense apparantly loses their ability to tackle when wet.
Only highlights: Devin Hester's opening kickoff return, and Prince's penis guitar sillouette (see link).
Prince slips one past the censors

Not a bad game, good to see Manning win the big one....however....BEST HALFTIME SHOW EVER!!!
Wow, Grossman is really horrible. It seems like he can only throw a mid-distance pass - any shorter or longer and he has no control or it flutters like a knuckleball.
Somebody should have mentioned to the Bears that the "bend, don't break" defensive strategy only works if you have an offense to back it up.
Glad Dungy won, even if it means Peyton gets a ring. Addai and Rhodes should have been MVP over Manning, but no surprise that they gave it to Daddy's boy. Can we finally stop hearing about him now?
And yes, I was cheering loudly when Vinatieri missed. Schadenfraude, anyone?
Ok, enough Colts hating. I have to start my Yankees hating warmups. 10 days until pitchers and catchers report!

Agree with Carl, the game was entertaining. Glad Prince was electrocuted in the purple rain. I thought the commercials were pretty bad and my sister put out a good spread (samosas, dumplings, egg rolls, chili and penne with vodka).
