I gained a pound the last time I weighed in (which was friday). Now I'm going back to square one. Trying to eat more vegetables and fruits and drinking all my water. I hadn't been doing too well the past few weeks. I ate stuff that I shouldn't have been eating. Hopefully it will turn out better this week.

I have discoverd these 1 pt cakes you all speak of so fondly.

Very cute little buggers - and just enough to satisfy a little sugar fix!

Finally tried the chocolate and was disappointed. Still really like the carrot cake!

So, I lost this week, which is great news for me especially going into this next month:

I am beginning a month long combination of South Beach and WW. Curious if and how much 22 points a day of South Beach is more powerful than 22 points of whatever.

Starting weight: 162

Glad you bumped this, it gives me a chance to talk about something I was told last night by one of my fellow dancers.

She's always had trouble sticking to a healthy diet, but a month ago she adopted the mindset that what you should focus on is what your body needs. So that what you're thinking of when you go to make a meal, buy groceries, etc., is how many veggies, how many fruits, what nutrients, etc., you haven't had that day and would need. She's stayed easily on this path for a month and hasn't strayed.

I've taken it for my own philosophy and hope I can stick with it as well.

a year later after hitting my all-time low (which was 10 pounds off my ultimate weight), I have fluctuated up and down by as much as 10 pounds.
I've gone back hardcore onto the old counting of calories and, a week and a half later, I'm down 4 pounds. woot.
16 more to go.

i don't like to think of it as gaining weight, i like to think of it as bulking up for the harsh winter months when game is scarce and i have to trek much farther from my camp in search of food.

I've been on WW Core Plan since April, and have found it to be the easiest and healthiest I've ever eaten. Down 35 lbs., and eating all the time! Also, spent every weekend of this summer, at some function with tons of food! Always found something to eat, and in a couple of cases, brought my own dessert (lemonade pie), just to be safe. The hard part now, is maintaining, and not losing any more weight! Mostly, because this type of eating has become a way of life for my wife and I. But, I prepare all our meals (have never been one to have meals out), which makes this type of diet, much easier to maintain.

Because mormons never go out to eat?

I just prefer my own cooking! And, Jerby, how tall are you? Your starting weight seems awfully low!

I've eaten in a lot of good places in Salt Lake City. Somebody's going out to eat, there.

I used to travel a whole lot, and ate lots of meals out. So, not so into doing that, anymore. Never was, really. Other than breakfast. I love to go out for breakfast. My least favorite meal to prepare. My wife's favorite meal to prepare, so we balance one another.

I am 5'5'. I started ww at 183 july 2005. my heaviest ever was 2001 when I weighed 200+

i'd like to be in the 140s.so I have less than 20 to lose. and I know that exercise is a big part of it.

*cries*

my mom and I are doing weight watchers now and I really cant stand it. Im not really eating my points, im drinking them. I dont even mean alcohol. I love Sprite, but have started drinking more iced tea and Vitamin Water (flavored water) but all of these things are about the same points value, with only a couple oz difference. I cant stand plain water, really cant, but because of numerous surgeries Ive had, I should be drinking, often. Thoughts?

I find drinking tea or crystal lite is a great way to get your water in.

Nestea & Crystal Light now makes these really great single pouches that you add to water. They are zero points. It's the only way I get all my water in.

I adore the Nestea pouches. They're a little pricey but so convenient and super tasty (and 0 calorie!)
