Congrats! That sounds like an intense regime.
I have been working out consistently for the longest period ever in my life. And I'm seeing results I have never seen before. That inspires me to stick with it. 3 months has made quite a difference on this body.
Keep on keepin' on!

Wow papa, that sounds excellent. I'm tired just reading your workout.
A year after my knee injuries, I finally started a regime this week myself... ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Starting easy... 500 calories less a day, start working out slowly, no more pop of any kind... and finally tackling getting rid of caffeine, this time doing it gradually instead of cold-turkey like I tried before.

Yep, even diet pop. From what I understand, the sweetness in diet pop - even without the calories - still triggers the insulin in your body or something like that, making you crave more sugar.
And even if it's not true, pop is just not that good for you, right?
Wine, on the other hand...

day one and two in without much ado. i was just happy to actually bench 155 four times without it collapsing my chest. slow and steady. i'm trying to figure when to add another 5 minutes to the run. my end goal is a 20 min run at 9mph (3 miles) so i need to add another 5 min at some point but i think i want to up the speed once more next week and then the week after that drop the speed back down and add time. today's an off day from the gym, but not from the morning and evening calisthenics.
the mrs just joined a gym near her new job. we never have been able to do that couples workout thing, but she's very excited to spend a bit of time on the treadmill again. i told her we'll be the hottest pair on the beach this summer!

Around a month ago, I found out that my cholesterol is too high - so now, along with counting calories, I'm counting fat as well.
I'm following a new low-cholesterol diet and I'm losing weight MUCH faster than before! I love this diet, my meals are so well-balanced, and I'm never hungry. Beforehand, I was limiting my carb intake too much, which made me hungry, so I'd fill up on things that were too high in fat.
I've also been going to the gym 4x a week and doing a 1/2 hour of cardio and another 1/2 hour of strength training and my body is really responding! Beforehand, I mainly did cardio. Since adding strength training as well, my body is really becoming toned!
I'm so excited, I'm finally looking the way I did before putting on weight!
I started off at 133 and now I'm finally down to 115.5! My goal is to lose another 7 pounds. I'm only 5'.

I've been eating a black bean burrito every day and have made a huge effort to include more nuts in my diet - I even ate some nuts as a snack this morning.
I joined sparkpeople.com which is a great site b/c they make meal plans that you can customize. It's fantastic b/c they give me weekly meal plans that are low in fat which means tons of beans and brown rice.
Calvin, thanks for the advice and the good wishes!

You guys are all doing amazingly.
I've hit the exercise regimin pretty hardcore, and though I haven't seen the scale budge in a few weeks, I know I've lost inches. I had a costume fitting about a month ago and my costumes all fit beautifully. I had another fitting on Monday and the costumer realized she had to take all my skirts in.....she wasn't terribly happy about that.
