Okay...I feel so dirty, but I love this show. You really feel like you get to know these girls rather than just their skank histrionics.
I loved the "bicycle bell" sound effect every time Schatar blinked her eyes.
"I loved the "bicycle bell" sound effect every time Schatar blinked her eyes. "
That makes me fall over laughing everytime.
The best was when they played it after she knocked over the picture of Andrew Firestone's family winery to the ground.
the bell is a holdover from Flav of Love where she made no bones about the fact that she wants the money...it is one of those smart touches this show has.
New York to Hottie (Shatar): "Beyonce, you think you look like Beyonce?! More like Luther VandrOSS!!"
"New York to Hottie (Shatar): "Beyonce, you think you look like Beyonce?! More like Luther VandrOSS!!" "
Thats hilarious.
New York is crazy.
New York was great when she was in competition with other girls...not so much when she was being persued, or when her mother was around.

Very true doodlenyc.
Her show was okay, but her mother was a put-off as well as the guys she had on her show. Hopefully, with I LOVE NEW YORK 2, she'll think it through and leave mommy at home and pick better guys.
and I almost forgot...the best line ever, so far..."sometimes life doesnt use vaseline...sometimes it just bends you over!"
Becky: "EWW!"
"and I almost forgot...the best line ever, so far..."sometimes life doesnt use vaseline...sometimes it just bends you over!"
Becky: "EWW!" "
I know!
That was absolutely hilarious.
Some of Saaphyri's lines are hilarious too!
Ok, I watched the first three episodes last night, called my mother, and told her where to find them in the On Demand menu. I am slightly ashamed to admit that I am appallingly entertained by this show.
Becky = Love
Once she dropped most of the wannabe act, she's actualy kind of cute. It doesn't hurt that she looks a bit like Rachel Griffiths, either.
Schatar is not crazy. Just a ridiculous attention whore. The girl bores me unless she inadvertently makes a fool of herself, which is all the time with that nasty hairball stuck on her head.

That was really the moment I started to fall for the show. Brilliant!

Thats what I love about her!
I love how Schatar is so deluded. She kept waiting for a spa trip, carried one bag of candy up the hill, and then fell out of the limo on Andrew Firestone. It was funny how she kept talking about how "fierce" she looked and Andrew was like "she needs to re-think her look." I do give her credit for being very crafty though. She stole "Heather's" dress and ending up winning the challenge.
My heart still lies with Saaphyri. It broke my heart when Monique dissed her name and poor S was like "that is my name. I dint git no name." Good I love her. 54th and Crenshaw baby!
"54th and Crenshaw baby!"
Oh yeah, you know it!

I know right! She's amazingly awesome in a strange way.
Right, Schatar hides Heather's 2000 dollar dress and Heather gets sent home for not being able to "handle it." WOW! Schatar does have some b#lls. Igive her credit.
I was also impressed with Saaphyri's leadership during the obstacle course. She knew what she was doing.
Oh, and I loved Darra trying to get over the wall. "Somebody, push my A@# up over this thing" and Cristal getting a faceful of Like Dat's butt. Precious.
And I loved Darra's couture with the feathers glued to her eyes and her body all taped up. God love her.

HAHA! yes!
I don't get what the girls are supposed to learn. Mo'nique isn't what I think of when I think of models of sophistication and refinement.
The show isn't really about being sophisticated and refined. It's about being a better/stronger/self sufficient woman other than doing to mess that they were doing of Flava Flav's show.
Oh... That's sorta self-defeating. If they stop "that" behavior they cease being reality stars.
I can't wait for Sunday for the new episode
Spoilers for tonight's episode:
Okay, it was major BS that Courtney got the boot, but I love that Monique offered her a spot on tour. Larissa's mouthy little ass has been working my last nerve since the first episode and I would love nothing more than to see her to get the axe. She has a major attitude problem.

The rationale behind Courtney's departure makes absolutely no sense considering someone like Thela was sent home in the first episode for having an attitude problem. Larissa, who clearly has an attitude problem, isn't sent home, but the girl who did everything right is? I don't think Courtney really needed to be there in the first place, but since they producers chose to have her on the show, I don't understand how her positive attitude was essentially used against her.
Agreed on the Courtney front, but to be honest, I couldn't care less whether or not she's onscreen. Brooke v. Larissa in endless catfights and shouting matches, on the other hand? Now THAT'S entertainment.
Judging from last night's show, I think the show is becoming increasingly staged, sad to say. The spitting moment seemed really fake to me.
Last night was total BS. I'm still not getting the "purpose" of this show. It's called "Charm School", but the girl who seems to be learning nothing and exhibits nothing but bad behavior gets to stay? The judges know that Schatar is a total sham and sabotages the other girls and nothing is said to her about it? Now, it is true that Courtney SUCKED at the selling challenge, but the reasons for her going home made no sense. At "Charm School" getting along with everyone and not picking fights means you GO HOME??? WTF?? I mean, the show is entertaining in a stupid kind of way, but they need to figure out another theme for having girls to live together and fight and bitch and spit and sending them home when they are nice. "Charm School" is not that show.
Yeah, there was a bit of a message there that unless you are fighting with someone, you are "straddling the fence" and "playing the middle"....is there something wrong with avoiding drama??
Also, could someone explain to me how putting perfume on your tits and offering strangers to pay to come sniff them is "tasteful"?
"I loved the "bicycle bell" sound effect every time Schatar blinked her eyes."
I KNOW!! It's such a small touch, but it is absolutely hilarious, and never gets old.
So far, my favorite line of the show was Saffary debating and saying about Brooke: "Did she or did she not shake her breasts with her nipples by your lips?" Absolutely fantastic television!
