Let the speculation begin!
How about 300? Any nominations maybe?

OhEmmGee! Like, I like, saw a baby in a pram on th street yesterday, like, she's soooooooo cute, I was like, 'Oh my God, she's gonna win best actress in 2023'.
No, this isn't a joke. If you see a movie or a performance that you feel is Oscar worthy, post it here.

Honey, this thread won't last that long...
Sweeny Todd
Don't honey me. Okay?
I don't if it lasts. I can bump it later.
However, I just saw 300 last weekend. I think that Lena Headey might have a chance at a Supporting Actress nomination.
And Johnny Depp is already creating buzz for SWEENEY TODD.

I don't care, smart one.
And I was about to send you to the bees. That's why I mentioned honey. Duh?
And, I've bumped many threads. But after awhile, some threads are deleted. Can't this thread have been created in December 2007?

This is why award shows keep losing their audiences, honey. When the Entertainment Industrial Complex begins with the prognosticating on the NEXT year's awards within a month of the current year's awards being presented, people burn out and don't care and tune out, honey. It's the same thing with the election cycle, honey.
You said it, sweetie.
Yea honey. This is a similar type of thread that as soon as a role on Broadway has been re-cast, you're wondering who and when the next person will start.

Oh, honey, the sh*t's insane. NOBODY CARES.
By the way, any predictions for the 2010 Tony Awards?
This is pointless.
Last year at this time people were all a buzz about another best actor win for SEAN PENN in ALL THE KING'S MEN.
And by you suggesting ANY acting nominations for 300, you have lost all credibility. The only shot it has at an Oscar nomination is cinematography, art direction, sound mixing, or costumes. And it's a SMALL shot.
So few films have opened this year....the only one that I have seen that could still hold up come Oscar time is ZODIAC. I haven't see BREACH.

Zodiac was good.
And yet All The King's Men got a C- average in EW.
Compared to Last King Of Scotland, A-.

"I think that Lena Headey might have a chance at a Supporting Actress nomination."
Seriously?? I thought she was mediocre at best. Most of the time I thought she was glaringly bad.
I just thought it would be nice to have a thread to report performances that you see that you think may be Oscar worthy.
If you don't like it, don't open the thread.
I did think Lena Headey gave a very good performance. She was fiery and strong. But that's just me. It's unlikely her performance will make it through the year.
I thought fire and passion were the two things completely missing from her performance.

WOW! It's amazing how stupid and rude some people can be on these threads.
As I have stated before, if you don't like the thread, then DON'T open it.
And I think the WILD HOGS men may have a chance at Golden Globe nominations.
Maybe Lena Headey's character was stronger than her acting. Maybe I was just blinded by the spectacle.
