As I said before, I love Beneath a Velvet Sky, but it's interesting to see Adam's progression lyrically. His voice has changed a lot, too.

AHHHHHHHH.

I just spent like six hours out with my family.

Neither my brother nor my grandmother believe in silence. My grandmother has a comment for EVERYTHING, and I can't even get through a sentence or complete thought without her interrupting me to talk about a different and completely irrelevant topic, like people she remembers that my mother hasn't even spoken to since I was about ten years old. And if she's not talking, but more than fifteeen seconds of her not being vocal go by, she SINGS! AHHHH. My brother is like... the prince of mind-numbing conversation, just to hear himself speak. He was going on about asking my parents if they thought he ever did pot, what kind of car he has decided they are buying him, and that he wants to send in a tape to be on the Real World because you can get free alcohol. Then he led my mom, grandma and himself in a Neil Diamond sing-along in the car. ...wtf? I have such a headache.

Anyway, I absolutely love Beneath a Velvet Sky. I love how he sounds.

I'm still listening to it. I really, really like it. It's probably one of the best things I've heard him sing.

Isn't it funny how being home for break reminds you of how much less stressful and headache-inducing life can be at school?

My whole family decided to go to Starbucks and leave me home alone. So I've been listening to music really loud since they left.

my grandma is the same way...she NEVER stops talking and starts singing to fill the silence. She reads the entire newspaper to my grandpa (which you can hear her voice from the other side of the house). Thank god for the Tv..that's all she watches, I honestly don't know what she would do without it..she still talks during a tv show though. I feel your frustration Em.

I've been home only since yesterday, and I really can't wait to go back to my dorm tomorrow and spend the rest of spring break away from my family.

I better not show my dad that picture. He already calls Adam "the one with the lipstick". Em, my grandmother is the same way, although she doesn't really care if people are listening to her or not. She's also deaf in one ear and can't really tell if people are talking or not. She often repeats something someone has already said. Sometimes if I answer a question with a one-word response, I'm there for an hour listening to her, and it always relates back to my uncle for some reason.

Haha, I think the general consensus in this thread is that families suck (or at least can a good amount of the time).
