yea..my global went down and my mom is making me study today. I don't have any tests in that subject this week..she is just making me study random stuff.
my mom is extremely moody today and is screaming at me
sorry about my ranting.
That's okay - sorry your mom's upset. As long as you have to study, maybe you can at least get a little ahead on some things and not have to worry about them later.

I think I'm getting sick..my throat is kiling me
I didn't give it to you, I swear. Unless you've posted in the Rent with the 'rents thread, then you're a casualty of war.
Oh no, not another one! Everyone's been getting sick. And Allie's not here to sterilize.
When my throat started to hurt, I slept for about ten hours and got rid of it, so get as much sleep as you can. That's when your immune system goes into action. Maybe drink some orange juice too, or take zinc tablets every two hours if you have them.

The drugs are actually starting to kick in now, I'll be fine by tomorrow.
I'm still amazed that I didn't get sick through midterms week.
Me too, it's everywhere. ::puts on surgical mask::
Chloe, I LOVE "Beneath a Velvet Sky." A lot. Thanks!
You're welcome! Keep an eye on Cybele's blog, she's going to try to put her appearance this morning online.
How is Cybele so technologically informed, while Adam is so....clearly not?

haha..she needs to teach him.
I'm having some tea =]
Tea is always good...
Some people just aren't teachable for certain things - or don't want to learn.

Well, I guess we could look at it as the tools each uses in their work. I imagine that, as a writer, she uses a computer to write, do research, etc. I guess musicians don't exactly plug their guitars into their laptops!
Looking at it that way, I have a little sympathy. If somebody wanted me to figure out how to use an amp, I'd probably look at them as if they'd just asked me to learn a foreign language!
Also, at a guess I would say that she operates more analytically and he more instinctually.

Chloe, I'm betting you're dead on with that one. Probably makes for some interesting discussions about who's supposed to be taking out the trash!

Heh, that cracked me up, mainly because my younger brother actually does plug his guitars into his laptop to record himself.
OK, tell me if I'm overreacting here: I'm going back into the city tomorrow after a doctor's appointment out on Long Island which my mother is driving me to. Now, it would make sense for her to just drive me back into the city right afterwards since we're already in the car, but because she doesn't like driving in Manhattan (the Manhattan driving in this trip consists of crossing a bridge, driving a few blocks, making exactly one turn, and then driving another few blocks and voila! we're at my dorm), she's insisting that we drive back home and I take the subway into the city from there - she'll even take the train with me if I don't want to go by myself. I have no problem with taking the train, but I think it's ridiculous that we have to waste time like that because she doesn't want to drive in the city, and now she's all mad at me for saying so.
I kind of understand how your mom feels. BG. Driving into the city is scary for me too. It's probably as much about the possibility of being stranded on the way as driving in the city itself, where the cabbies seem suicidal at times. Obviously it seems irrational to you, but an important part of learning to negotiate your way through the world is putting up with other's seemingly irrational foibles.
An interesting development has occurred in my illness. My left side is fine. My right ear and the right side of my throat are still painful.
I guess that's... progress? Maybe it'll go away a little at a time.
I have no idea, it's throwing my head off balance, because the right side feels heavier. At least I'm able to concentrate and get back to work now.

awe I hope you feel better CS
Feel better! My sister has the flu, so the doctor gave all of us medicine to take so that we don't catch it. I'm trying so depserately to stall on writing this paper .
