Great reviews of DRS and Rent!
I have a friend getting back today from NYC, they got rush the other night to DRS (Jason was in for Norbert). I'll be interested to hear her review (she really didn't know much about the show other than the movie, and me talking about it).

D’Monroe’s Benny seemed genuinely passionate about Cyber Arts (weird, I know) and also a little desperate to get his old friends on “his side”.
yes, I liked how I actually cared for Benny and felt some-what sympathetic towards the character.
Thanks, BG. I'm glad you liked my description of Matt- I really do like him as an actor/singer, just not as...Mark.
Same here. I think he has a great voice and sings the role beautifully, but the way he chooses to portray the character of Mark just seems wrong in some ways.

La Vie Boheme he pissed me off greatly. He doesn’t seem to understand that there’s a difference between being funny and acting just for laughs.

I think Matt is better than Justin Brill (in my opinion). [Justin]During his LVB I didn't even recognize that he was singing until a little later during his verse. His voice just didn't stick out or something.
My eye twitched a little at his “Mucho Masturbation” enactment, though.
