Ouch! I hope you kicked the door for being there!
I'm a little worried about NY Eve as well ... I've always hosted the party because I hate driving that night and then I would know that it wouldn't be a crazy drunk fest cause I knew who to invite. A friend beat me to the invites this year ... everyone who is going is part of a couple except me and another guy who I'm not a couple with.
I thought that kind of drama was supposed to end in high school! :)
Fantab, hope you're okay, but thank you for providing a physical demonstration of why we all see pointlessness in drinking! (I know you weren't but you know what I mean)
Granted the way I am when I first wake up, I might as well be drunk...
That reminds me of the Friends episode (forgive me, everything reminds me of a Friends episode) when everyone promises to be together without dates and then they all end up with dates except for...Ross, right?
Hahaha...and just yesterday or today, when on the groupies thread, someone mentioned the kettle being black, I heard Phoebe saying "Hi Kettle, this is Monica. You're black." Someone had to remind me it was the poker episode. Funny example of referencing everything back to Friends.
JLSat--ditto on the coffee and message boards but no donut, I have no appetite whatsoever in the morning.
We've cooled down since, but my friend and I used to play a game where somebody said a word and then you had to think of a Friends quotes with the word in it and if not you got a letter. The first person to spell Friends lost.
Now, whenever somebody mentions something, we just look at each other and know.

I'm kind of at an interesting age ... some of my friends link everything to "Friends" and others link everything to "Seinfeld." I appreciate that show and everything but it wasn't a stop everything and watch kind of show like Friends was for me.
I decided to give up Santa for the Hanukah Lobster! Or the Armadillo :)

Of course I do.
My friends and I showed a clip of friends for a project about Jane Eyre - the episode where Phoebe and Rachel take a class together and they're reading Jane Eyre.
A few people in my grade are Seinfeld junkies - the reruns - and my parents LOVE Seinfeld so I'm kind of into both but Friends has always been my first love.
I never got into Seinfeld, was a tad young and just...I watched the soup nazi ep, my fav, but then I watched the one where George's fiancee died from licking cheap stamps and I thought this is stupid and haven't watched it since except when Yankees guest starred.
Hmm...Alix, wanna try a little of that game?

We actually got the idea from friends who used to play the game with The Simpsons.
I do WRQ but it's my bedtime. With vacation, I'm trying to get on a more semi-normal sleeping schedule in the interest of getting more accomplished. But next time I need to procrastinate (which probably won't be so far off) the Friends game it is!
