'night, Elph.

I have to share something that drove me crazy today. Remember all of those papers that I wouldn't let you forget? The ones I whined about nonstop? One isn't actually due for another week and another isn't due for two weeks.

Gnite, Elphie!

Oh, Nia, that stinks. Are you at least ahead now - since you thought they were due?

chocolate!

The good news is now you have more time to fix them up and make them better.
#12510

chocolate!

Yikes, nia. I feel bad that you put yourself through more stress than you had to. On the bright side, if you're happy with how the papers came out (or just can't stand to look at them again), your workload for the next couple of weeks will be a little bit lighter.

Billboard and Snowbird, I told myself I'd make them better... for about a minute and a half. Who am I kidding? I'll never look at those things again.

But you guys are right, maybe I'll have free time now.... *snorfle* Yeah, right.
#12513

chocolate!

nia, did they change the date, or you forgot? Either way, that sucks!

#12514

chocolate!

That's how I work too, I find out I'm given an extra week and I spend that week doing nothing and then have to stress out the night before it's due.
#12515

chocolate!

I save everything until the last minute. It's really bad.

The more work I get, the less motivated I am to get ahead... I mean, I'll be doing work no matter what.

*high-fives nia*

All through high school, whenever a teacher would push back the due date for an assignment I had already finished, I would spend some time feeling guilty that I wasn't going to use that time to improve it and fearing that the teacher would now expect more because we had more time to do it. Then once that feeling passed, I said f**k it and celebrated that I would now have a little bit of extra time to do something that wasn't productive at all.

College was the first time I really had the chance to procrastinate, since all through my previous levels of schooling I had to deal with living in the same house as my mom, who forced me to get things done ahead of time. If she knew I had an assignment that was due weeks from now, she'd make me get started on it as soon as she found out about it. Now, I can hide my workload from her and find myself rushing to finish things the night before they're due.

I know, my procrastination got so much worse after I left home. I practically wasted away first year, putting me on Academic Probation. I caught up second year, but third year is killing me. I'm going to do as much as I can and then move back home in the summer and finish up the last few classes for my degree in Toronto.

Procrastination has been my life but i'm trying to finish things on time now, but i've been slipping.

Someone from Toronto do I hear?
#12520

I think I win the prize for worst procrastinator. On A Days at school, I get three hours of free time with study hall and lunch. I attempt to get something down for the first 5 minutes and then just spend the rest on the computer

oy. I come to check back before going to bed and then get hooked and get less sleep. :-/

Sorry, nia. That's yucky. At least it's out of the way, right? (as has been said)

By the way, what'd you think of the last Alias episode if you're watching? The season has been going pretty slowly, but that last one was really great. There are so many places they can go now. And I always love
**SPOILER ALERT if you haven't seen it** (let me know, and I'll delete)
seeing Vaughn. I was so excited that he was in it so much.

Yep, just outside of Toronto.
#12523

chocolate!

Heh, in my senior year of high school, I had a lot of free periods because half of the courses I was taking only met twice a week. Once I finished my homework for the classes that met every day, I would spend most of that free time surfing the Internet on one of the computers in the school library.
