ok, I am leaving soon.

Happy sleeping everyone! Dream something beautiful, let you pillow soft and warm, don't let your feet to be cold, just sleep....

....WHILE I AM SUFFERING IN MY WORKPLACE!!!

OK, freaktime is over! BTW, the sleeping thing reminded me of Mary Poppins, when Julie sang "stay awake".
So, I am off.

Norbert Leo Butz quotes about John Lithgow: "He's really clumsy. One of the joys in life is to watch a great big huge man totally wipe out backstage. It takes John about three minutes to hit the floor. It's like watching a Great Sequoia falling gracelessly."

Yeah Dre, the Michelle quote was so appropriate. I agree on it being a very romantic (and retrospectively tragic) love song. Now I just have to wonder how well and just where she and Norbert duet it. Bit funny how the lead male voice of her favorite song is so conviniently nearby O.o

Kerrie, how about thinking of it as I did in my response...Seasons of Love b/c that incorporates the love of friends, which is as if not more important and valuable than romantic love The *Official* Greg Jbara Love Thread And we're all rich there.

Traci, yeah I know, esp. being a clarinetist all my life, it might be harder to do that than if I never played anything.

Ali, go yourself! Don't worry about it. Baseball's awesome, esp. live...you can start your own chants, cheer, or keep a scorecard which keeps you very self-involved.

Kerrie, the Ball understudy(that sounds funny) was pretty good...very funny and held the notes, but of course there was a Michael lacking. While not the most...umm Michael Ballish of characters, he def snuck some gorgeous vibrato notes in. Also when I saw it recently I felt like some voices were shot and not as powerful, to be expected. I think I really treasure having gone opening night, a rare time to see the full cast and I think they all were at the top of their game that night...Ron Behmer was devilishly wonderful, and Adam Brazier's voice soared gorgeously, one would have confused him w/ Michael.

Mary, what's the music of ALW, a concert? Let us or at least me know about it, I'm not ashamed to admit that I adore his music! (esp. orchestrations)

Sarah, yaay you barely post! Send me a PM darling...see how Amandaish you can make it(you should know what means)

Gav, hey!! You like disappeared, where were you? Missed you too!

And umm I lost my cell phone tonight. Joy. Though I devoured free, yummy food. that's always fun.

And finally Annie, I'd rather be working now and have gotten the amount of sleep you've got then get the 5-6 hours I'm about to.

Yes, the music of ALW is a concert.

I like ALW too.. I'm just desperate for sleep as we won't get home well past midnight and the next morning I have to wake up at 7 for the concert.

LMAO. I LOVED how Michelle Federer's favourite song is from Last 5 Years, I bet when she read that she's hinting to Norbert *propose to me by singing this song!!* How...subtle.

Yeah but Liz, if he does that and all, what is she going to do when he starts singing, "A Miracle Could Happen" to her? Or "If I didn't Believe in You"? If I was her, I would see red flags. They better not end up like Jamie and Cathy The *Official* Greg Jbara Love Thread

But Meghan...I stage managed my 11th grade drama, I thought *I* was the greatest stage manager ever *cries*

Oh well, can I be the greatest lead clarinet player in the pit? That means more to me anyway.

Okay Gav, but whatever happened, you still should post here more.

yay I hearttheatre. First time seeing the show? Give us more details!

(BTW kinda random, but you weren't at the stage door last night, mistakenly waiting for Joanna were you?)

Yes it was my first time and I loved it.
Rachel York was amazing! Norbert broke character at least two, maybe three times, but I loved him anyway. He definately owned the show. Jonathan Pryce was good, but a little strange at times- I can't really put my finger on it, but every now and then he would do something that just rubbed me the wrong way. I don't know, but it didn't happen frequently enough to infringe upon my enjoyment of the show. And Greg, of course, was wonderful and hilarious.

That was me at the stage door. Thankfully it had only been a minute or so since the others left, so I wasn't standing out in the cold wating for no one too long. WRQ, you were the girl who came by and talked to me? haha

Yes, that was me! Just figured if you post here and saw it last night, maybe you were at the stage door, total random question. Were you the girl w/ her...dad? or the other girl? And out of curiosity, do you lurk on the thread so you might have thought it was one of us?

Glad I was able to come by, don't know how long you would have waited otherwise, and I didn't even intentionally come by, it was just on my way to Port Authority. But isn't the stage door awesome now? w/ the construction on the Richard Rodgers the barriers are no longer there and not too many people wait so it's just more comfortable.

If you plan on going back soon, I'm sure you'll see me around The *Official* Greg Jbara Love Thread

Yeah, I noticed that too Amanda. Kevin doesn't put out the barriers anymore? The door was so nice and rather empty Sunday.

I was the girl with her dad. Alas, I'm only 15. I do lurk occasionally, and when you said 25 times I was suspicious, but I didn't want to ask in case I was wrong. I'd die of embarassment if that happened.

The stage door is awesome, indeed. I was really surprised how few people were there, though.

I doubt I'll be back soon The *Official* Greg Jbara Love Thread.... maybe over the summer if I have time and someone willing to take me.

Kerrie? How can he make you gag? You're telling me have a strong hate for Phantom, WIW, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Cats(okay I don't love this one I admit), Sunset Boulevard, etc? Even most of the biggest ALW detractors admit the validity of Evita. Looking forward to a review Mary!

Haha Ihearttheatre, you shouldn't have felt embarassed, a lot of the time if I'm in your situation I'd just say umm do you post on Broadwayworld? If they say no then I'm like oh okay, just curious, if they said yes then maybe I'd say do you post on the Greg thread, etc. I don't know why I threw out 25 times, I think it's b/c last time I was telling ppl about Joanna I estimated 20 times I've been to the stage door, so I was about to say 20 but then I was like oh it's been so much more than that at the stage door, so I just shot out 25. Stage door visits though now are probably over 30...

Too bad I didn't say I saw it 16 times, that might have given you the hint as to who I was.

I don't hate all of his stuff. Evita is one of my favorites and I like Phantom. But the rest of it, I can do without. WiW had it's moments.. but it was pretty much like he put all his old music in a blender and tried to pass it off as new stuff.

But Adam was beautiful. The *Official* Greg Jbara Love Thread

Well then don't use the word "gag" so loosely :-P

Glad you liked Adam. He has a great voice but...okay I'll say it...opening night, for the first song...I couldn't figure out if he was Michael or not..that's how good he was that night. Oops.

It has its highlights, I've been trying to locate the songs All For Laura and You Can Get Away W/ Anything but no luck so far...I don't really wanna buy the CD...hmm I'll hafta think...
