Sorry hun, I came to that realization a while ago...something happened when I hit puberty to my singing voice, I actually used to be good, I had a solo in "This is the Moment" at 6th grade graduation. But yeah, if you need any help coping w/ the realization let me know But play more w/ the oboe, I found as I totally couldn't sing, I found the sound I could make through instruments to be more amazing and beautiful.
But I can sing... sorta...
I can't really give it up when I have nothing else.
Do I ever feel like a depressing thread killer.
Anyways theres no need to go all teen angst on everyone, so, how was everyone elses day?

Take Me Out To The Ballgame
either spanish is messing with my brain or i am just so confused.
huh?
Okay I am beat but let me quickly recap tonight: (Puts on the Amanda gloves)
I managed to get Kat (who is an ultra-conservatist) to see Brokeback Mountain with me. Mini review: BM is a very heart warming and touching film, very somber and incredibly well acted. Heath Ledger deserves the Oscar like Norbert deserved the Tony. I can see this film winning best picture. A very thought provocating and engaging film. I couldnt help but shed a few tears. And Kat liked it! Woot.
Okay, now for DRS. I stage doored solo because Kat was tired. I was able to take to Laura first and together we witnessed an old sight. Some wacko was dressed up like a robot and was walking around the stage door area with an old Nintendo power gun. Laura had to find Kevin because she was genuinely worried. I'll post the pic tomorrow of the guy tomorrow. It was VERY wierd. Anyway, Laura was an audience member tonight. That must have been fun. Lucky girl.
Joe came out and I asked him about the pic Mary put up of him in The Last Five Years. He was shocked that I knew of him in the play and asked how I found out. I mentioned Mary and how she posted it here in the thread. He warmly explained them that he was in a Hartford production a few years back. Joe said he really enjoyed the role. I for one who had loved to have seen him. His Cathy and director's names are escaping me at the moment but Ill check later.
The main reason I went to the stage door was to get a pic of Norbert and myself for NLBOnline. Well, Norbert came out and he was ready to take the pic, but he said that he had a cold sore and he wasnt sure the picture would come out well. So he invited me to get it next time I come. So that I will do, perhaps next week.
Greg came out last and we exchanged pleasantries. Here however is the meat of my post: I proposed an idea I think would be a cool event for all of us. How about on July 23, after the matinee (the final day of the cam), we Greg threaders take Greg out to lunch as a thank you for all his hard work? We could exchange cam stories and memories, and generally all cry together. Think that would work? I certainly would love to treat Greg after all he has done for us. He brought us crazy Cats (pun intended) together after all.
Let see...if I remember anything else I will post tomorrow. Have a good night everyone.

Hi all! I've never posted here and or really follow this thread, but Amanda convinced me to post. Of course, I'm happy to. Anyway, yesterday, I saw the matinee of Scoundrels and then met Greg and briefly talked with him afterwards. Amanda had e-mailed him that I'd be coming, (which was very nice of her!
) so we chatted for about 5 minutes I guess. He was rushing a little bit because he was going to see Piazza. I promise to post more details about our conversation, hopefully tomorrow (don't worry, it was nothing too exciting or new), but, for now, here's the picture (with me cropped out). He was, of course, extremely nice and friendly and a pleasure to meet. (That's a lot of parentheses. Sorry.)
Sorry Alix, if I knew the post would be such an issue, I would have just copied and pasted our aim convo last night
I'm just gonna spoil one of your stories b/c it involves me and it's amusing, K? Greg asked her how she knew me, and she was kinda embarassed so very shyly said "Broadwayworld." Wish I coulda told her that I'm sure he's very aware I have lotsa friends on BWW, if nothing else, all of you Ah well.
She also had the joy of seeing Dennis, who she didn't remember being silent during a song, guess that's an improvement.
Look forward to all your details(kinda again) Alix! Glad you posted here!
Don't worry, it's not a big deal. Just need to actually do it. I'm lazy. But tomorrow, I promise.
The picture doesn't seem to be showing up so here's a link:
Still a question mark darling.
I could've seen that Hartford production... since I live close... *grumble*.
Anyways, huzzah! I have been mentioned upon the stage door!
Its raining...I don't want it to rain...
If someone could stop it from raining that'd be swell...
Yes John, you're wearing suspenders...

so in my history class we're watching the movie Memphis Belle... and John Lithgow is in it! i had a bit of a shocked moment and almost said "wait till i tell annie!" but none of my classmates would have known what i was talking about.. so yeah. but i thought of everyone!
Well, it's not official, but word is on the main board that Rachelle Rak was cast as Sheila in the upcoming revival of A Chorus LIne! That would be fantastic news! She's so talented, and had to get a principle role soon. I was honestly a little shocked and upset that I didn't see her name on the initial casting list, and when I realized they still hadn't cast Sheila, I kept checking the thread, hoping to see Rachelle got the part. I'm so happy if that's the case; she's gonna be great!
