I'm trying to decide which look I like more... and I just can't...

*loves Mandi for finding those pics* I love eyeliner on Mano...then again, I love eyeliner on guys.
Hurray for the sold out show! And, one week!
I love the pictures. Mandi, you always deliver.
Mandi you rock!
Anyone else think Mano looks ridiculously sexy in that leather get up? Anyone? ...backs slowly into corner.
DO you even need to ask, Liz?
I...don't...know.
I took one for an avatar though, heee. I made several avatars out of the pictures before I could decide on the one I wanted.
So cute. A bit scary. But cute.
Edit: Found this on a Yale alumni blog:
"shout-out: Congratulations to my sometime football-and-beers companion Manoel Felciano on his well-deserved Tony nomination for best featured actor in a musical.... "
LMAO. I do NOT see Mano as a "football and beers" kind of guy.

Don't Americans have anything better to do with their limited free time than become sports-watching addicts (Culture Zone: 'Life Is a Camel Race,' by Allen St. John)? Manoel Felciano's obsession with televised sports reflects our transformation into a nation of spectators. That trend has been accompanied by rising levels of obesity and cardiovascular problems. Everyone says exercise is important, but we seem only to be talking (and watching) a good game.

Hm...interesting.
Oh wow, Mandi... great find!
Those are some tight pants.
Though not quite as tight as a certain someone's.
I'm glad I found something that you all hadn't seen before!
*stares at pictures again*
Well, I guess that's why he's a *sometimes* football-and-beer companion. Nonetheless, that's...interesting.
He should go hang with Raul and Euan at ESPN Zone.
I keep reading things about him needing to get physical therapy on his knee... wonder what happened to it.
It's probably just from the show. He jumps, hobbles, and sits on chairs in what looks to be not an especially comfortable position.
ETA- I just found this:
Of course tons of theater desirables did make the season more than just a chance to collect mugs and Playbills, so at the reception for the Tony nominees at the Marriott Marquis's 48th-floor restaurant, I dutifully sat in my assigned seat as they came at me like bowling balls. And oh, what I learned. Does the hacking-heavy Sweeney Todd bring out featured actor MANOEL FELCIANO's dark side? "I was talking with my shrink about this," deep-eyed Felciano told me. "I said, 'Maybe the fact that I'm in a straitjacket and gradually go insane eight times a week is why I'm talking to you. I have unresolved issues.' " Yeah, but he's got a nomination too, so who cares?
I saw that the other day. Poor guy's falling apart.

delayed reaction: OMG those pictures!!!
Hehe I saw that a few days ago as well. Poor fella.
Please. Raul belongs at ESPN Zone like *I* belong at ESPN Zone. Then again, I have no idea if he likes sports. He probably does. *pokes Raul*
Those jeans may be bell-bottoms, but they look very excellent on Mano.
I dutifully sat in my assigned seat as they came at me like bowling balls.
I love that image. Love. it.
Poor Mano. Well, I dunno. I mean, if he's working out his "unresolved issues," then maybe it's not really sad, but... good for him. Issues are sad and if he has them then it's good that he's working through them. He's very open about it!
He certainly does seem to be pretty open about dropping random bits of information.

A bit late, but Mandi...
I can't say anything new about those pictures, but you guys can probably imagine the size of the smile they brought to my face!
I think it would be fascinating to play a character who goes insane (of course, maybe that's because I have yet to play one). Not a character who starts the show insane, but, as Mano said, "gradually go[es] insane." Acting out the process must be a challenge.
You can probably tell that I'm interested in the use of madness in drama.
"Yeah, but he's got a nomination too, so who cares?"
Hmm. I'm sure that whoever wrote that was just being flip, but statements like that can give insight into human nature, or at least the way it is in pop culture. I remember reading things about Billie Holiday, something about how "people didn't care if she was high or not, as long as she sang" - is this the right attitude? Where does the audience separate performer from performance?
I'm not suggesting that any situation Mano may be in would be that serious. It just interests me to think about these things.
Shutting up now.
*pokes*
It may be a tad dangerous, but I doubt he thinks people sit around finding these things.
These things tend to come to me. *cough*googlealert*cough*
I think to some it is dangerous in a less literal sense. Sort of in that you admire and respect him so much, and some people would rather he stay abstract and removed. I think it's sort of the same way some poeple feel when they have in depth conversations with actors at stagedoors, o r when they start to g et to 'know' an actor. Personally, I love speaking to people I aspire to be like, but I know plently of people who don't. It's sort of scary.
