Isn't the Menier Chocolate Factory supposedly doing it soon? Maybe it can come here.
True, Mandi...I'd be very happy with just that, too. It's fun to fantasycast a revival, though.
I'm finally getting to see Sunday in the Park with George in a couple of weeks. I'm SO glad it ended up extending, because I was worried that I'd miss it.
Yay! I'm so happy for you!
Funny story. Today, instead of studying or packing and whatnot, my friend and I left at 7AM and went and saw Sunday agiain...
And now I'm poor, and haven't studied nearly as much and I needed to. It was worth it though.
There were some incredibly sketchy people at the stage door.
But, yes.
That's awesome. Some things are just more important than exams.
And thanks! I'm so excited to see it.
I think I'd like to retract my Stokes-as-Fredrik idea, principally because I can't imagine Anne not wanting to sleep with him. He still reads youngish and definitely attractive on stage.

Ok, catching up with the thread :)
>Maybe his gel will miraculously go missing before then.
Maybe you-know-who reads this thread and will make that happen for us.
Especially since you-know-who seems to have given up the hairgel, you'd think Raúl would take a hint!
He doesn't just treat it as something he happens to be good at, he has a passion for his work and others' work. I love that he's not afraid of showing that in public too. I don't like performers who won't admit to liking or caring about anything and try to act as if they're above those who do.
OMG, case in point:
Raúl: "But I'm overjoyed. I actually dreamt I hadn't gotten nominated. You try not to care about it too much, but that's ridiculous because it's a really big deal."
This other guy I quite like, we'll call him Rufus Sewell: "The truth is, as an actor, a Tony nomination is not that important, but once you get one it’s quite nice.
Gosh, Rufus sounds just thrilled! :/
Re: Patti's t-shirt. Raúl should have worn one that said "Hello, my name is Lenny". Hehe.
In other news: I saw SITPWG on Saturday and was just blown away. What an amazing production!!
I really want to see Sunday again. So gorgeous.
I wish I could have seen Sunday more. I wish it could have been open back when I had money and time, heh.

Maybe if Raul beats Stephen for the Emmy this year, Stephen will have him on the show.

HA! I didn't even think about the fact that they could be in competition.
Raul and Stephen would make for the greatest duet ever. In terms of interviews, though, I think Jon wins for that flirty banter thing he does with all of his guests.
...I was supposed to have gone to bed an hour ago. Really going now.

Sounds perfect to me! Something for everyone.

hah, Patti's shirt.
You guys! My cat had a kitten this morning. Totally un-Raul related, but still - I'm excited
Happy New Kitten Day! Hope mom and baby are doing well.
Busy, busy Raul. Workshops today and tomorrow, American Theatre Wing gala on Monday, Philharmonic on Tuesday. Any idea about shooting schedules for DAISIES?

I thought I read that Pushing Daisies will start filming at some point in June. (Wasn't that why Kristin Chenoweth had to pull out of Candide? ... or am I confusing it with something else?) But pre-Tony press keeps the nominees pretty busy in the weeks leading up to the awards.
I figured with HOMECOMING not having to sell tickets any more, the press burden would be lighter.
Well, yes, but a lot of that is under the jurisdiction of the producers, and it's always good for them to get press. I mean, there definitely won't be as much as there was for Company, but I'd be very surprised if he didn't do any.
*light slowly dawns* My mistake - of course the whole production was nominated - huge dumb oversight on my part. Coffee - where's the coffee???
One tall vanilla latte, please.
Yeah, it got nominations for Raúl, Eve, and Best Revival. I mean, Jeffrey Richards is obviously going to promote August way more because it's currently running, but The Homecoming has a decent shot at best revival, so they'd be stupid to lay low with TH just because the show isn't running anymore.
It won't let me put more than one picture in a post, but these are both from Broadway.com.

Doyle's Peter Grimes is on PBS right now, if anyone's interested
