And in regards to the shaved head, I know it looks kind of awkward in photographs, but I bet on stage, he totally rocked it. Especially with that character, I bet it was all kinds of sexy.

The sushi joke was wonderful, heh. I didn't catch Raul dancing during the opening, but I got a bunch of texts from friends watching at home saying that it was very amusing. I'll look for him whenever the opening number makes it onto YouTube. And on that note, what a great opening. Wow.
Maybe the opening played better in person, but televised I thought it was a gigantic mess. I know it's not a popular sentiment in musical theater, but sometimes, less is more.
That said, I did get a huge kick out of seeing Raul dancing. That was a fun cut.
It was honestly incoherent. The Hair part at the end was marginally redeeming, but that's the best thing I can say about it. I think I would have been overwhelmed even if I were there, but on TV it was just, like, "What the hell?!"
I totally missed the sushi joke, but I did catch him dancing in the opening. He looked great!
Now, mother always said that whenever you hear a strange, frightening, and potentially life-threatening ghostly chant coming from the dark woods that there's one thing that you should do: Not wake the others and go investigate it alone...
Update to Raúl's L&O: CI episode airing. It's now scheduled for July 12 (funnily enough, the day Twelfth Night closes) -- the schedule got pushed back because of the Memorial Day and 4th of July holidays.
I am trying to analyze Geoffrey Rush's micro-expressions, having been totlaly brainwashed by LIE TO ME. Kind of amused, admiring but also something else which I can't quite put my finger on.
wow, this is a fun trip down memory lane! I was recently friended by an old friend from the Adam love thread on face book so I thought I would pop in over here and I see all the old peeps are still around!!!!!! Due to the economy my trips to NYC have dwindled and I am quite out of the loop now. I did however just get back from a trip, saw Hair, Everyday Rapture, Shrek, and Next to Normal! I actually liked them all! Raul was adorable dancing with the Hair cast in the Tony's! How have you all been? Anyone on twitter?
