Posted: 11/5/06 at 8:12pmI hope it's not Julie. If Julie dies, I think Susan will kill herself b/c first she lost Mike and then her daughter. If it's Laurie Metcalf, then I hope we get more info about Orsen and his wife before she dies or else we might never find out.

It's supposed to be an actual Wisteria Lane resident, so that means the Laurie Metcalf character is out. I'm pretty sure she didn't move there.
I was thinking it might be the older neighbor. Can't think of her name right now. The one who had a problem with Lynette's kids, but now watches them sometimes. There's also the other older woman we see sporadically. The one who was waiting at the curb for the cab that Susan took instead.
If it's Julie, Susan will have a breakdown!

That episode made me cry, I don't know why but it really got me. It was really powerful.
I'm not glad Nora is dead, that was a powerful moment.
My mom claims she saw that actress who plays Nora at the frst preview of Company. I didn't get to see her. But I told my mom she was crazy because she's filming Housewives. but I guess that was her!

Actually her death was one of the most powerful moments I've seen on television in a LONG time.
The way they did it, was so powerful unsettling.
Far from funny.

I guess spoilers are out...
Very disappointed. Yes, I wanted Nora off the show, but the way the producers of the show were touting this death they led us to believe it would be a MAJOR character - a resident of Wisteria Lane. Both Caroline and Nora were new this season and so easy to kill off. What a waste.

That last shot with Lynette's dream and the slow mo exit of the market was the most powerful images I've seen in quite awhile.
I am sort of glad Nora's dead, but her death was quite shocking. Laurie Metcalf should get an Emmy nomination for the role of Carolyn Bigsby.
A fantastic episode which sets the stage for more change this season. God, I love good television.

I do too - too bad this wasn't it.
It was a cheap marketing ploy by the show. Nora was a drain on the show - they built her up as this terrible character we all hated for a cathartic moment when she gets shot? I felt manipulated and cheated and lied to by the producers. I did not walk away thinking that was a great episode of tv.

holy crap was tonights episode intense!! quite possibly one of the best episodes I've seen.. mainly for the last 15 minutes or so. Um, Felicity Hoffman it TOO brilliant. Seriously, she is the main reason I was like.. shaking uncontrollably in the end.
and Marsha Cross too... she's just unbeleivably amazing.
edit: jasonf, I def see where you're coming from, but for me what made it so cathartic and emotional was entirely Lynettes reaction (again, due to felicity's amazing acting), and not much to do with caring about nora. I mean, she did kind of make me feel bad for her in end, but yeah, it was 98% because of what came AFTER that moment. Oh god.
